Trenton refused. “I can’t help you there, Carrie.
“I can’t change Camryn’s mind. What I’m spending now comes from her. I still need her to support me
financially. How can I influence her to change her decisions?”
Even if he could persuade Camryn to reactivate Carrie’s bank card, he would choose not to do it.
Trenton and Camryn’s aim was to prevent Carrie from losing all the family’s money. He wanted to force
Carrie to be independent and build her own life.
Otherwise, Carrie would be suppressed by Camryn for the rest of her life.
After all, Carrie was Trenton’s biological sister, and he wanted to see her do well.
“Since you know she’s this unreasonable, you should work with me instead of falling prey to her lies.
Was it her idea that you meet Mom and Dad and get them to transfer their assets to you? She must’ve
taught you that, right? She probably badmouthed me too.
“Camryn wants to take everything belonging to the Newmans, Trenton. Worrying that I might lose
everything is just an excuse. Why would I do that? How can I spend it if I lose all the money? Our
family owns many businesses. Money will come rolling in once we get everything back and we’ll have
enough to spend for three lifetimes.”
“Carrie.”
Trenton replied, “We aren’t as rich as you think. A portion of the assets belongs to Camryn. Some of
our parents’ businesses were illegal and have been shut down and penalized. We don’t have many
legitimate businesses.”
Carrie said, “Don’t think I know nothing, Trenton. I know our family is very, very rich. Mom told me that.
What assets can that blind Camryn possibly have? Uncle Abel is dead. Our parents have been the
ones managing the businesses all along, so naturally, all the money they made belongs to the family.
“Stop talking nonsense. Are you going to help me? Make Camryn reactivate my card, stat.”
Carrie was well aware that Trenton would not side with her for he was bewitched by Camryn and
turned into her loyal follower. She did not want to waste more time talking to him and only needed his
help on one thing.
Her cash was almost running out, and it would even make buying food a problem if her card was notnovelbin
reactivated by then.
Again, she could not possibly go to work, right?
Neither did she know how to get a job. With no skills and strengths, she was clueless about what jobs
she could take on. According to her cousins, job hunting was difficult. The only choice was to do
exhausting physical labor, which only paid several thousand a month.
Even her cousins with work experience could not land a job, let alone someone like her.
Trenton was silent. Carrie took a deep breath to stop herself from blowing her top. She told him,
“Trenton, you can refuse to help me, but I need to survive and eat. Lend me your card.
“You have some savings. Even if I take your bank card, you won’t lack money. If you ever run out, you
can get more from Camryn anyway. She won’t refuse you money.”
Trenton took his phone out and said, “I can transfer you five thousand dollars monthly as your living
allowance. You should get a job as quickly as possible.”
“Are you trying to chase a beggar away? I am your bloody sister!
“Five thousand a day sounds better.”
Trenton did not listen and transferred five thousand dollars to her. “I’ll give you three months to find a
job. And in these three months, I’ll give you five grand a month as allowance.”
“You should spend the money wisely. Don’t look for me if you run out of money, and stop thinking about
getting our parents’ assets. I’ll be in charge of our family in the future.”
Trenton turned on his heels to the villa after speaking.
He would not go to Camryn for this.
