Chapter 2678

“She just wore a mask and sunglasses, and changed her hairstyle.”

After Caroline finished speaking, Darren said, “Let them quietly follow Liberty, not to monitor, but to

familiarize themselves with Liberty’s figure. So even if Liberty dresses up in the future, they can quickly

identify her in her disguise.”

“Every time I ask her out to chat, I must be responsible for her safety. If anything happens to her on the

way to meet me, Serenity and the others will kill me.

“Also, when Liberty needs help here in Jensburg, you help her secretly. Just don’t be noticed by my

mother and the old man by her side. “

The old man was Belinda’s assistant, not Hunter.

Darren responded respectfully, “I will. It’s getting late, let’s go back.”

Caroline sighed, “I really don’t want to go back. That house doesn’t have the warmth of a home. Therenovelbin

are only intrigues, conspiracies, and no good people.”

Darren did not know how to answer.

What happened to the Fishers’ house was not something a small assistant could manage.

Caroline did not want to go back, but she had to and soon left with Darren.

More than an hour later, Liberty returned to Fortress Hotel. She put on her disguise again before taking

the elevator directly from the underground parking lot upstairs.

Caroline gave her a few hyper-realistic masks, but she was reluctant to use them.

Such realistic things should be used when they are most needed so that they would not be wasted.

Fortress Hotel was Kevin’s territory in Jensburg. She put on a little makeup and need not alarm Kevin

or to guard against him, so naturally she did not have to use the masks.

Only after she entered her room and locked the doors, did she pick up her phone and call Duncan.

He answered almost instantly.

“Duncan, you’re still awake at this hour?”

Duncan said, “I was waiting for your call. You said you’d call once you returned to the hotel. I was

waiting this whole time. I don’t think that I’ll be able to get any sleep tonight.”

Liberty said with a smile, “I had only reached the hotel. I was worried that you’d be anxious, so I called

right away. I went out shopping, and I bought a lot of things.”

“What did you buy?”

“Bought some food, drinks, appliances, and toys. The toys are for Sonny. I also bought some new

clothes for him. The weather’s turning cold, and he’s growing up fast. His old clothes probably can’t fit

him anymore, so I bought a few sets of new ones.”

Liberty lied, now wanting Duncan to know she went out alone for a few hours just to meet up with

Caroline. Moreover, they only met for chit-chat, without sharing useful information.

“I had also bought myself two jackets. It’s also cold during the mornings and the nights back in

Wiltspoon, but we can still wear short sleeves during the day. However, it’s only fifty to sixty degrees

here in Jensburg. I only brought one jacket here, so I decided to buy a couple more.”

She would not return to Wiltspoon so soon, and the temperature in Jensburg would continue to drop.

She indeed needed to buy a couple more jackets.

Tomorrow, she would have to take some time, and back up the lies that she had told, lest she got

caught once she returned.

After hearing her mention Jensburg getting colder, Duncan nagged, “Buy a few more warm clothes.

Why didn’t you check the weather in Jensburg before going there?”

“I left in a hurry, thinking of you, and neglected to check the weather in Jensburg. It was only when I got

off the plane and felt the cold that I remembered.”

Duncan said with self-blame, “Sorry, Liberty, for worrying you.”
