Chapter 2650

Having successfully slimmed down and built her own business, Liberty regained her confidence.

She would not eat voraciously like before, turning obese and losing so much in the process.

“You’ve lost some weight now, so you should eat a bit more meat.”

Liberty smiled. “I’m not thin at all. Seren, there’s something I want to talk to you about.”

“Go ahead.”

“I have a flight to Jensburg at three in the afternoon.”

Serenity was surprised and asked, “Is it so urgent?”

She knew her sister was going to make a trip to Jensburg soon but did not expect it to be this urgent.

“Is something chaotic happening in the Fisher family?”

“Chaotic or not, I’ll have to fly to Jensburg frequently. Besides contending for the position of the family

head with Caroline, there’s also the matter of our grandparents’ deaths. As their descendants, we

should investigate and find the truth. We can’t let their deaths go unexplained.”novelbin

Serenity nodded.

“Is it arranged by Aunt Audrey or is it your decision?”

“Mine. The Fisher family has been unstable recently. I’ll go and take a look. Also, I plan to explore the

market there and expand the business. This way, even if I stay in Jensburg, it won’t hinder me from

making money.

“Aunt Audrey has already listed the business industries related to the Fisher family for me. I’ll start with

those.”

Serenity was itching to help, but she knew that no one would allow her to go to Jensburg.

After all, she was carrying Little Zachary in her belly.

“What about Sonny? Does he know that you are going away? Why didn’t you wait until Monday to

leave? Sonny will be at preschool, and if you leave then, he won’t cry or make a fuss.”

Liberty said, “I told him, and I also told him that if he comes to you, he can’t cry or make a fuss. He just

reminded me to come back early. If I sneak away without telling him, and he finds out that I left without

saying a word, he might feel upset.”

Although the little guy was just over three years old, he was becoming more mischievous yet sensible.

It was fortunate that her son was particularly close to Serenity. He did not even cry when he was

handed over to be in his aunt’s care.

“Your honeymoon is ending soon, right? Zack should be returning to work at the office. When that

happens, you two will move back to the city, making it more convenient to pick up and drop off Sonny.

“While I’m away, I’ll trouble you and Zack to take care of Sonny.”

Serenity smiled and replied, “Why are you being polite with us? Sonny is my nephew. I’ve been taking

care of him since he was born. It’s only natural for me to look after him while you’re away. If you don’t

entrust Sonny to me, I'll be upset.

“Don’t worry about it. Sonny is in good hands.”

“I’m not particularly worried about Sonny."

Not only would Serenity help take care of Sonny, but there were also Aunt Audrey and Elisa to lend a

hand.

Liberty was a bit concerned about Duncan.

Looking at her sister, Liberty said, “Seren, while I'm away, ask Zachary to keep an eye on Duncan too,

tell him not to push himself too hard during rehabilitation, not to rush, and take it slowly. Also, don’t let

him work overtime too much.”

“Don’t worry. Zack will watch over Duncan for you. They are good friends, and he cares a lot about

Duncan.”

Liberty and Duncan seemed like a couple, supporting and encouraging one another to move forward

boldly.

Relationships were nurtured through companionship.

It was said that being together was the most enduring proclamation of love.

“Duncan really wanted to come along with me to Jensburg. But I’ll be handling important matters, and I

won’t be able to focus on taking care of him. He feels like he’s a burden to me. When I need help, he

can’t assist me or be by my side.

“He knows I’m leaving this afternoon and is overthinking. He isn’t answering my calls or messages.”
