Chapter 2619

“I’ve been thinking of getting you a bouquet since you were scheduled to be discharged.”

Serenity looked around the room before she smiled and said, “I didn’t think all of our thoughts aligned.

“Are you done packing? If there’s nothing else I can help with, I’ll hold the flowers for you.”

Serenity laughed after speaking.

Alice getting discharged was a lively occasion.

Zachary and Serenity held several bouquets as they walked. They would exchange glances and smile

at each other, glowing with happiness.

Everyone walked out, heading to the parking lot located near the outpatient department. As they

approached the parking lot, they happened to pass by Carrie.

Zachary and Serenity did not notice her as they were all wearing masks. Moreover, Carrie had been in

prison for a long time and Serenity could not recognize her right away.

Like strangers, they walked past each other and Carrie only picked up on Serenity's voice right after.

She stopped abruptly and turned, her gaze locking on to Serenity.

She grew agitated upon the sight of her enemy.

Carrie had the urge to rush up and stab Serenity with a knife.

However, she stopped herself after taking two steps forward.

She could not do it.

She was unprepared and did not even have a pen, let alone a knife. Besides, if she committed a

murder, she had to pay for it with her life and lose her freedom, something she treasured now where

she could enjoy herself out in the world.

Carrie no longer wanted to get into trouble for revenge.

She stared at Serenity’s back and watched as Zachary helped Serenity get into a car. Soon, Zachary

got in himself, and the car left.

“Serenity.”

Carrie spoke through gritted teeth, “I’ll make your life a living hell one day.”

She flung a punch in the direction Serenity left. It strained her back injury and she grimaced in pain.

That morning, she went to the Newmans’ villa. She sneaked into the house because she had been

bored while waiting for Trenton to retrieve the cash he promised her.

She still held onto the idea that the villa was her home where she and her family had lived since she

was born. How could it be Camryn’s house?

The title deed Camryn obtained must have been a fake.

Camryn could have forged it and placed it in her parents’ safe before tricking her into unlocking the

room and retrieving the title deed.

When Carrie saw Callum preparing breakfast in the kitchen, she knew he was doing it for the blind girl.

She was jealous. If it were not for Serenity, she could have been dating Callum through her parents’

arrangements.

She was young, beautiful, and had a good family background. She was the better match for Callum.

Camryn did not deserve him.

Even if Camryn regained her sight, she still would not be good enough for Callum. Why did she have to

go to jail while Camryn became the second missus of the Yorks?

Not only did the Newman family belong to Camryn, but she also had Callum’s love. Now that she had

regained her sight, her life was smooth sailing.

Overcome with jealousy, Carrie had the thought that Callum belonged to her and Camryn robbed him

off of her. Carrie acted instinctively and walked toward Callum. She hugged him from behind and

touched his chest.

His abs felt good.

He was smiling when he turned around, but his expression changed after realizing it was her behind

him. He quickly shoved her away and kicked her out of the kitchen.novelbin
