Chapter 2607

Tethered in the backyard, Camryn’s guard dogs were let loose during the night. It was still early, and

the servant in charge of them had not tied them up yet. When they heard Carrie’s screams, the four

canines rushed out of the backyard and bolted straight for the villa’s entrance.

Carrie was tempted to tear down the main gate herself. Seeing the four guard dogs charging toward

her, she was scared out of her wits. She kept retreating without a sound, no longer daring to scream,

her face was filled with fear.

It seemed like she was severely traumatized by these guard dogs, having been bitten by them.

Justifiably so, she had sustained a bite, and now she had PTSD. Although the butler compensated for

her medical expenses for rabies vaccines and serum, the bitten areas still hurt. Also, she was haunted

by nightmares of the dog chase.

Carrie resented Camryn greatly.

After all, she had never set guard dogs on Camryn during their past confrontations.

Furthermore, each time she tried to deal with Camryn, had she ever truly gained the upper hand?

That mole rat seemed to be quiet and docile, yet she was as cunning as a fox. Every time she fell intonovelbin

Camryn's hands, their mother, who usually favored Carrie, would also scold Carrie.

She scolded Carrie for not being able to handle a blind girl.

“Trenton? Trenton, when did you come back?”

Seeing her brother, Carrie took two steps forward but did not dare to get close to the gate, fearing that

the four guard dogs might leap from the other side and bite her.

“Trenton, quick, have someone drag these animals away from me! My legs get wobbly every time I see

these dogs. Don’t you know, Trenton? That blind girl Carrie was so cruel, she actually let her dogs bite

me. Come on, Trenton, you have to help me out on this!”

Trenton tried to order the dogs to retreat. However, because Trenton was rarely home, the dogs were

not familiar with him and did not heed his commands. The silver lining was the dogs did not attack

Trenton.

A servant heard the barking and rushed out.

“Are you fine, young master?”

The servant said apologetically, “I’m so sorry. I was careless for a moment, and they ran to the front

yard. I’ll take them to the back immediately and tether them.”

No one was allowed to release the dogs in the day without Camryn’s permission, lest they injure

someone.

They had to be tethered, and only to be released at night to guard the compound.

“I’m fine, it’s just that they won’t listen to me. I’ll leave the tethering to you.”

After a glance, the servant knew Carrie was the reason the dogs went bananas so early in the morning.

He led the wolfdogs to the backyard.

After the four dogs were taken away, Trenton finally went to open the gate.

“What are you making a fuss about this early in the morning, Carrie? You're aware that if you upset

Camryn, there will be consequences.”

Trenton did not like Carrie very much. Nevertheless, as she was his biological sister, his attitude toward

her was not overly negative.
