Chapter 2582

Quinn smiled and offered to help him with the luggage, but Julian stopped her, saying, “I only packed

two sets of clothes in my suitcase, so it’s not heavy. You don’t need to help. Besides, I’m a grown man,

how can I let you carry my luggage?”

“You came from afar after all. Oh, and I got you two grilled sausages. I know you don’t like spicy food,

so I got the non-spicy ones for you. I got the extra hot ones for myself.

Julian took the small bag she handed to him with the two grilled sausages. He took one out and had a

bite.novelbin

Quinn offered him the other snacks she had bought. While Julian received them, she grabbed his

suitcase and continued to munch on her sausage as they walked ahead.

Watching her confidently pull his suitcase and eat simultaneously, Julian could not help but smile. He

told her that no help was needed with his luggage, but she insisted.

Julian let Quinn do as she pleased.

Quinn continued pulling the suitcase while Julian followed behind her. Both of them munched on the

snacks as they walked. When Quinn finished her sausages, Julian gave her the other snacks.

When they reached the parking lot and found Quinn’s car, they had eaten all the snacks.

Quinn had grease all over her lips but looked satisfied. As she helped Julian load the suitcase into the

trunk, she said, “I’m finally full. My mom usually doesn’t allow me to eat these kinds of snacks, saying

they’ll cause inflammation and might not be hygienic. She nags me if I eat one bit. But I just love them.”

“Eating them occasionally is fine. It’s just not good to have them too often. If you really like them, you

can buy the ingredients and make them at home. That way, you can ensure hygiene and nutrition.”

Quinn replied, “With my cooking skills, I can’t make them myself. My mom is a great cook and prepares

these snacks really well, but if we ask her to cook for us, even once, she’ll keep nagging us. After

eating, she’ll even make each of us drink a large glass of herbal bitters.”

Julian smiled and said, “In the future, if you want to eat anything, just tell me, and I’ll buy and send

them over. I don’t think your mom would mind.”

As their interactions increased, Julian knew Quinn’s preferences. He had the chefs at home learn how

to make all sorts of snacks and treats that Quinn likes. This way when Quinn eventually married into

the Bucham family, she would be able to enjoy the foods she loved.

The taste should be able to rival those from her hometown

“If you only come once or twice, my mom won’t mind, but if you come often, she’ll treat you like family

and include you in her endless nagging.”

Quinn felt embarrassed that the first time she brought Julian home for a meal, her family had assumed

that Julian was her boyfriend.

They were initially disappointed but later delighted when they learned that Julian had come to learn

martial arts from her. They thought Julian could potentially develop feelings for Quinn if they spent

more time together.

That made Quinn feel embarrassed.

Fortunately, Julian was unaware of this.

Otherwise, she would dig a hole and bury herself in it.

She just got along well with Julian and enjoyed their time together. Unlike the stereotypical distant and

aloof CEO from TV dramas, Julian was down-to-earth and approachable.

While Julian’s car might be a bit luxurious, he was very grounded. Maybe his looks were the only

exception to being “down-to-earth” because every time she looked into his eyes and saw his pretty

face, her heart would race.

Thinking about how he absolutely outclassed her, and with Julian’s busy work schedule as the CEO of

a major company, they rarely got to meet. Quinn would remind herself that they were just friends.

Julian’s kindness was merely a way to repay her for saving him.

Julian was just repaying a debt of gratitude toward her.

This self-reminder allowed Quinn to face Julian without feeling nervous or her heart racing.
