Hunter was unaware as well. Otherwise, he would not have dared to approach someone else’s

After looking through the media, Caroline replied to Darren: [Keep the evidence. I’ll delete them on my
end because I can’t keep them. If my mom suspects me, she’ll check my phone.]
Darren replied: [I saved everything. Have you eaten, Ms. Caroline?]
[I’m eating now. I got delivery.]
Darren frowned. [You shouldn’t order food so often, Ms. Caroline. Isn’t there a cafeteria in the
company? You could have your meals there. If you’re busy, I can get you food every day.”
Caroline’s heart warmed when she saw his message.
She had been fighting alone ever since returning to the Fisher family. No one was on her side, not even
her mother. Belinda was not her mother alone as she was also mother to her brothers and Celine.
While Celine could act like a spoiled child naturally, Caroline found it challenging to do so.
Luckily, Darren came to aid her. She had tested Darren’s loyalty after understanding his position and
motive behind assisting her. She trusted him more than she did her family, and he had been a great
help to her.
When he first came to her, he said he would never leave her even if everyone else did. He was loyal tonovelbin
her the moment he was assigned to her. He would serve her until the moment he died.
If he passed away, someone else would replace him. She would always have a loyal right-hand man.
Darren was an all-rounder. There was nearly nothing he could not do.
Even cooking was an easy task for him. The food he made tasted great too.
Caroline felt that texting was too slow. She called him instead. When he answered, she asked, “Have
you eaten?”
“Not yet. I’ll have my meal later. Do you need me to get you food?”
“You’re busy enough as it is. I don’t want to trouble you. I don’t eat takeouts every day. I only do it
occasionally when I don’t want to head out. It’s enough as long as I can fill my stomach. I can even
save some time to rest and recharge to work in the evening.
“The person you assigned to tail my father wasn’t caught, right? We can’t let my mom discover that I’m
the one who set Hunter and the woman up.”
Darren said, “You can rest assured. I have it all covered.”
Caroline smiled. “I’m not worried. Go and have your lunch. I’ve finished eating too. I’ll delete the
messages related to my dad having an affair later. My mom is paranoid. She doesn’t fully trust me, and
Celine snitched on me before. She’ll suspect me first once she calms down.”
“Okay.”
Darren understood.
“By the way, Ms. Caroline, there’s something I want to tell you.”
“What is it?”
“Mr. Queen saw Mr. Clark taking the woman to Fortress Hotel. Mr. Kevin York was by his side, and he
took a video.”
After a moment of silence, Caroline said, “It’s expected that Mr. Queen can recognize my dad.”
Kevin probably could not recognize Hunter, so Hayden must have told him.
It seemed like Kevin and Hayden had become a couple.
