Chapter 2570
Hugh followed behind silently.
He watched as Hayden was being stuffed into the car by Kevin. Soon, the Maybach under everyone’s
gaze drove away from Queen Enterprise.
Hugh muttered, “He is truly the most arrogant brother-in-law I’ve ever seen. He doesn’t try to please
me, the only brother-in-law, at all.”
Mumbling aside, Hugh did not follow them as a third wheel.
If Hayden was his brother, he would have tagged along to prevent Kevin from doing any harm.
Hayden was his sister though, and the sister had to get married. Kevin was a good match. He could not
act as a third wheel lest his parents lecture him because Kevin would voice his complaints to them.
Right now, Kevin had more of a say in front of their parents than he did.
“Hugh isn’t coming, is he?” Kevin asked Hayden while driving.
Hayden replied without looking at him, “He’s just a big talker, he won’t actually follow us. He’s afraid
that you’ll complain about him to my parents.
“He’s only ten minutes younger than me and still doesn’t have a long-term relationship. Now that I havenovelbin
you, my parents will naturally turn their attention to him, worrying about his life choices. If you complain
about him, my parents will scold him. They’ll start nagging him about marriage. He’s terrified.”
Hayden was a bit anxious about Hugh’s unsettled love life but also felt helpless about it.
She now had Kevin, but her brother still did not have a significant other. She used to set him up with
Caroline, but it did not work out. Her brother was not interested, and neither was Caroline.
Now Caroline had Darren by her side.
Kevin chuckled, “I don’t want to keep complaining about him either. It’s just that he keeps third-
wheeling, disturbing our dates. He’s a man now, yet he has less awareness than Sonny. Even Sonny
knows what third-wheeling is.”
If Sonny heard this, he would probably retort, “Uncles have always said that I’m a little third-wheeler.
After hearing it often, I’ve understood. Whenever I follow my uncles and aunts while they’re out
together, I’m called a third-wheeler.”
“You said you had something to tell me. What is it?” Hayden leaned back in her seat to relax.
It was just her and Kevin in the car, with the security team following in their own car. They could not
hear the conversation between the two of them.
“My brother Callum and his wife Camryn got their marriage license today. They signed the papers this
morning and just posted it on their social media. I’m so jealous of them. ”
Hayden realized at that moment that this man was here to woo her into marrying him.
She said coldly, “Mr. Callum and Ms. Camryn had been engaged, so getting the license was only a
matter of time.”
Kevin immediately replied, “Then we should also get engaged. Once we are officially engaged, we can
officially get married whenever you want. I won’t rush you.”
After a moment of silence, Hayden said, “I haven’t made up my mind about marrying you yet. Marriage
is a lifelong commitment; I need time to think this through. I shouldn’t make rash decisions and sell
myself short.”
“Well, take your time to think it over. When you've made up your mind, just let me know. We can get
engaged, get the license, and plan the wedding anytime you're ready. I’ll handle it all, so you won't
have to worry about anything. You can continue with your work, and only just take a few days off during
the wedding to officially become my wife.
“Oh, and after the wedding, you should take a month off. We’re going to enjoy our honeymoon. You’re
usually as busy as a bee. So, when we get married, you should take the time to have a good rest. I
take it that you don’t travel much, do you?”
