Glenn laughed. “You’re the purpose of my existence.”
He admired Caroline’s personality.
Despite looking weak, she was more decisive than anyone else. She upheld the right values and drew
clear boundaries too.
“Madam Fisher was unable to achieve much in Wiltspoon,” said Glenn.
Caroline sneered. “Does she think Wiltspoon is Jensburg? She can’t even have her own way in
Jensburg, let alone Wiltspoon where she’s up against the elite wealthy families. We’re not even a
match for Queen Enterprise over here.”
Jensburg was different from what it was at the time Belinda had just assumed the role of the matriarch.
The Fisher family had gone through a transformation too.
While Belinda was ruthless, she slightly lacked business acumen.
It was obvious that Fisher Enterprise was going downhill but she could not do anything about it.
The internal management of the company was unsatisfactory as well.
Perhaps Belinda was old and exhausted. It could also be due to her sons forming cliques in the
company, which disrupted the chain of command. However, Belinda never punished her sons out of
love for them.
She could kill her sisters, yet she was tender when it came to her offspring.
“Serenity is pregnant, but I can’t visit her in person. Prepare a gift and deliver it to her for me.”
Since Caroline and Audrey were cousins, Serenity would be Caroline’s first cousin once removed.
She had also asked Glenn to send a gift to Liberty during her restaurant’s grand opening.
Now that Serenity was pregnant, she had to congratulate her too.
“Okay.”
Caroline looked outside the window and noticed that they had left the city center.
“Where are we going?”
Glenn replied, “I don’t know either. I simply drove along the road. The destination doesn’t matter
because I’m just taking you on a drive to relax.”
Caroline lowered the window. The night breeze flowed into the car. After looking around, she said, “Inovelbin
don’t think I’ve been here before. Let’s keep going in this direction. I want to see what’s at the end of
this road.”
“As you wish.”
Not long after, Caroline wound up the window. She said, “Jensburg is already chilly in November, but
Wiltspoon is still in the fall season.”
“Wiltspoon isn’t too cold when it’s winter either. Their lowest temperature during the day is still in the
tenths, while ours could go as low as negative.”
Suddenly, Caroline said, “I feel like heading north to ski during winter.”
“I’ll go with you. We can do it this year. I can teach you how to ski.”
Caroline looked toward him with admiration. She asked, “What else can you do, Glenn?”
He laughed. “You should ask what I can’t do instead. I know plenty of things. I don’t think there’s
anything I don’t know how to do.”
“There’s one thing you can never do no matter how capable you are.”
“What is it?”
Her words piqued Glenn’s interest. He was determined to learn it no matter how much effort it took. He
could not let Caroline look down on him.
