Marcus would never enter the building again.
Although the Fisher family’s riches were tempting, he could not enjoy them.
The women in the family were fierce.
Mr. Fletcher guessed something must have happened when he saw Marcus fleeing. He was worried
and wanted to call Caroline when she walked out of the building.
Caroline did not drive because Mr. Fletcher would be giving her a ride.
“Ms. Caroline.”
The security guards on duty greeted her.
Caroline suddenly stopped and looked toward the guards.
They were puzzled by her stare. One of them asked, “Did we make a mistake, Ms. Caroline?”
“Did you all see the man who ran out just now?”
The men exchanged glances and nodded simultaneously.
The guard said, “Mr. Clark was the one who brought Mr. Wright in. He said Mr. Wright was his friendnovelbin
and was here for a visit.”
However, Mr. Clark had yet to return since he left the company under the excuse of buying something.
Caroline’s gaze turned cold. She said sternly, “From now on, do not let that man in without my
permission. Regardless of who’s with him, he’s not allowed to take even a step into the company. If any
of you does so, don’t blame me for the consequences that’ll follow.”
Hunter was indeed the one who brought Marcus here.
What a good father he was. He could even harm his biological daughter.
That was biased of him.
He spoiled Celine rotten and even supported her to woo Hayden. He wanted Celine to be the Queen
family’s missus.
On the other hand, he tried to set her up with Marcus, a perverted and spoiled rich kid.
The security guards looked at each other. After some thought, they agreed to Caroline’s order as she
had more authority than Mr. Clark.
Only then did Caroline exit the building.
Mr. Fletcher approached her and asked, “What happened, Ms. Caroline? The man earlier looked like
Marcus.”
He did a background check on the man Hunter had arranged for her, so he could recognize Marcus
right away.
How dare Marcus touch the woman he swore to protect forever? He must have had a death wish.
Mr. Fletcher decided to infiltrate Marcus’s home at night and beat him up after covering his head with a
sack.
Messing with Caroline was unforgivable.

“Let’s talk in the car,” Caroline said softly.
Mr. Fletcher guided her to the car.
Glenn Fletcher was Caroline’s assistant and would often be by her side. No one would think it was
strange.
It was just how things in the Fisher family worked. Every matriarch would have a capable and loyal
assistant by her side. Once the assistant had been assigned to the matriarch or an heir, they would be
loyal only to her.
Their loyalty would never stray.
In the car, Glenn handed over the ice cream he bought. He said softly, “It’s the brand you love.”
Caroline accepted the ice cream and thanked him. She dug in after fastening her seatbelt.
Glenn never asked any questions. He silently drove the car away from the company when Caroline
started eating the ice cream.
