Chapter 2500

“Okay.”

Darrell took Belinda’s gifts and threw them into the trash can while Audrey headed next door. It would

soon be her daughter’s home too.

When Remy and Elisa heard that Audrey had arrived, they went to the front door. They had been

monitoring the construction progress in the backyard earlier.

“Mom.”

“Mrs. Stone.”

Elisa and Remy greeted Audrey.

Elisa went to her mother’s side and circled her arm with a wide smile. “Mom, you’re finally willing to visit

this place.”

Audrey poked her daughter’s forehead. “Are you happy now?”

After the Johnsons had expressed their sincerity and Julian’s incident, Audrey finally agreed to let Elisa

date Remy.

They could get married whenever they wished and she would no longer stop them.

Remy had two properties in Wiltspoon, and one of them was just right next to the Stones. They wouldnovelbin

be neighbors. Moreover, he would be working in Wiltspoon long-term. Therefore, Elisa would remain in

Wiltspoon most of the time after marriage. It would not prevent Audrey from visiting her daughter.

Elisa had only ever liked two men throughout her entire life, Zachary and Remy.

However, Zachary had no feelings for her and became Serenity’s husband. They shared a strong

relationship while Serenity had also gotten pregnant with their first child. Elisa could no longer be

smitten with him.

Audrey was relieved that Elisa was rational. After discovering that Zachary was married, she withdrew

her feelings and stopped clinging to him.

If Audrey objected to Elisa and Remy’s relationship, she was worried that Elisa would never get

married.

Between having her daughter grow old alone and marrying into the Johnson family, Audrey preferred

the latter.

“I’m happy. Let me know when you’re delivering food to Alice later. I miss my nephew already.”

Audrey smiled. “Clive informed us not to go over at night. His mother-in-law will be preparing dinner for

them. Alice will be discharged the day after tomorrow. You can see the baby every day when that time

comes.”

She missed her grandson too.

“We can still visit the baby even if we’re not getting them food. I would’ve stayed in the hospital with

Alice and looked after my nephew if Clive didn’t chase me home.”

Alice was still in the hospital. She had a natural birth and could move around sometime after delivering

the baby. Therefore, few people were required in the hospital to care for her.

Having Clive and her mother was enough.

“Did someone visit our house just now, Mom? I think I heard a stranger’s voice.”

Remy invited Audrey into the house. The renovation was almost complete.

Audrey’s smile faded. She replied to Elisa, “Someone did come. It was Madam Fisher from Jensburg.”

“Madam Fisher? Isn’t she Caroline’s biological mother and your… aunt?”

The smile on Elisa’s face disappeared too.

“Why was she here, Mom?”

A hint of hatred flashed across Audrey’s gaze. She said, “She wanted to verify my identity. I was old

enough to remember things when your grandmother passed away. Even if Madam Fisher has become

a lot older, I recognized her the moment I saw her, and so did she.

“I knew she had attended Seren’s wedding, but we never met each other as there were too many

guests. I thought she had left after the wedding. I only found out that she was still in Wiltspoon when

she visited earlier.”

Belinda sounded like she was planning to stay in Wiltspoon for quite some time.

She was most probably gathering information and verifying some things.
