Audrey could not be bothered to continue the conversation. She made it obvious that she wanted
Belinda to leave and even stood up to see her off.
No matter how shameless Belinda was, she would not stay after being told to leave.
She thought Audrey would welcome her with open arms.
Audrey probably had some inkling of the crimes Belinda had committed despite not possessing
evidence. It was good enough that she did not chase Belinda away immediately.
With that thought, Belinda felt relieved. However, she probably could not be as close to Audrey,
Serenity, and Liberty as she wanted. Audrey was likely certain that Belinda was the murderer.
Belinda stood and said, “I’ll be returning to Jensburg in a few days. Call me when your grandchild is a
month old, Drey. I’ll come over for the celebration.”
“Goodbye, Madam Fisher.”
Audrey did not give a definite answer.
Belinda stared at her for a moment, then nodded toward Darrell. Audrey’s husband probably had the
same status in the family as Hunter. Women of the Fisher family were mostly assertive.
Audrey lifted the gifts Belinda had brought. She could not lift them all alone, so Darrell helped his wife
right away. They returned everything to Belinda.
“Drey, this is for your daughter-in-law. Although we’re estranged, we’re still family. It’s a little gift from
me to the young ones. Don’t refuse it.”
“Thanks, but we don’t lack supplements. Please take them back. If you don’t, it’ll be handled as trash
here.”
Audrey would never let Alice eat anything Belinda gave.
Belinda had no words.
Audrey really showed no respect to her at all.
She took a few deep breaths and contained her anger. She tried to calm her emotions and said, “Since
I’ve brought the gifts here, they’re yours, Drey. You can deal with them however you want.”
After speaking, she turned and left.
Darrell and Audrey saw her off while carrying the gifts.
Belinda’s bodyguards were waiting for her outside. When she exited the house, they immediately went
up to her.
One of them quickly opened the car door and closed it after Belinda got in.
“Let’s go back to the hotel,” Belinda instructed the driver.
The driver moved immediately.
The bodyguards guessed that the talk between Belinda and Audrey did not go well. Belinda was in a
terrible mood.
The Stone couple stood at the door and watched as the three cars left.
“What are we going to do with this stuff, Drey?” Darrell asked his wife.
“Throw them.”
Darrell hummed in agreement. “Okay. She’s a ruthless woman. We can’t risk letting Alice eat this stuff.
We have plenty of supplements anyway.”
Serenity and Liberty had sent many supplements over. Besides, they had a lot of their own to begin
with.
Darrell took the gifts from his wife and said, “I’ll throw these away. You should rest. You haven’t gotten
any proper rest today.”
“I can’t sleep in this mood. I’ll go to Remy’s house to check on the renovation progress.”
Audrey was originally in a good mood, but Belinda’s arrival ruined it.
