Chapter 2491

“Alice.”

Camryn smiled and walked to the bedside.

Alice responded with a smile, “Hello, Camryn. Please have a seat.”

Camryn pulled a chair closer to Alice and sat down.

Alice watched her actions, momentarily forgetting to check on her crying son. She asked, “Camryn, can

you see clearly now?”

She knew Lilian had come to treat Camryn’s eyes, but she was not aware of the progress.

She rarely went out during the later stages of her pregnancy and Clive seldom shared information

about her with other people either.

Alice vaguely remembered her sister-in-law mentioning that Lilian was confident in restoring Camryn’s

vision, and she had responded that it was good news. They all felt sympathetic for Camryn, and they

hoped she would regain her sight.novelbin

“Yes, I can see things clearly up close, but things in the distance are still blurry. It’s like people with

severe nearsightedness.”

Camryn replied warmly and added, “Alice, you should lie down. Sitting for too long isn’t recommended

during postpartum. They say you should lie down more to prevent back pain.”

“It’s great that you can see now, and your vision will improve gradually. And no worries, I’m fine this

way. It’s just that the little one keeps crying. Clive can’t console him. Let me check if he needs a diaper

change.”

Knowing that Camryn could see, Alice felt delighted. She took her son from her husband and laid him

on the bed. She checked the diaper and said, “Indeed, it’s soiled. Clive, get a fresh diaper.

“This child loves being clean. He cries as soon as he soils his diaper and insists on being cleaned with

warm water before he can sleep comfortably.”

Both Alice and Clive were new to the trials of parenthood, but Alice seemed to be more experienced.

Seeing that their son had a bowel movement, Clive fetched a new diaper and hurriedly prepared a

basin of warm water. After wetting a towel and wringing it dry, he said in a gentle tone, “Let me help

clean him. You don’t need to do anything.”

His mother-in-law went out shopping, and his parents had gone home, leaving the newbie father

behind to accompany his beloved wife and take care of their newborn.

Good thing the baby was less of a hustle when he was asleep. Once he woke up though, he would

start crying and Clive would have no idea why.

“Take my towel and wash it, I’ll be fine without it. Besides, it’s warm water. Mom only said not to use

cold water.”

Alice took the towel from Clive, cleaned the baby, and changed the diaper. The little guy opened his

eyes for a moment and went back to sleep comfortably.

Camryn watched in awe as the baby really stopped crying after having his diaper changed and was

sleeping soundly. She smiled and said, “He really loves cleanliness, does he? Alice, can I hold him for

a moment?”

“Of course.”

Alice picked up their son and handed him over to Camryn while Clive took the basin of water and went

outside.

Callum was astonished as he watched the distinguished CEO of the Stone Group doing housework.

Sensing Callum’s gaze, Clive said, “Wait until you become a father yourself, you’ll understand my

situation now. Somehow, you’ll do all these things willingly. But you’re not married yet, so you probably

don’t get it.”

With that said, Clive walked toward the bathroom.

Callum returned to the living room and sat down on the sofa.

After washing the basin and towel, Clive placed the basin inside the bathroom. He then hung the towel

on a hanger and washed his hands before coming out of the bathroom.

He went to check on his wife, seeing that she was lying down while their son was in Camryn’s arms. He

returned to sit across from Callum.

“Your fiancée’s eyes are recovering nicely.”

He had overheard the conversation between Alice and Camryn earlier.

“Dr. Carden said her eyes should return to normalcy by the end of this year.”
