Hearing this, Camryn looked up at Callum and asked with a smile, “Already? I heard Seren mention
that Alice’s due date was next month. How did she already give birth so soon?”
“The baby arrived two weeks before the due date, but he’s not premature.”
“It’s still early. Why don’t we visit Alice before going back to the manor?”
Audrey was Serenity’s aunt, so the Yorks and the Stones were considered relatives. Alice had just
given birth, so they should go and visit her.
“Alright.”
Camryn stood up immediately and said, “I’ll prepare some gifts. By the way, I bought a few gold lockets
a while back. Should I give it now or wait until they host the baby’s sip and see shower? I think I should
buy a few sets of new clothes for the baby too.”
“Just bring a simple gift and save the rest for the party. Why did you buy several gold lockets?”
Camryn went to prepare some supplements as gifts and said, “Jas and Seren are both expecting, so I
prepared a couple of lockets for the babies to welcome their arrival into the world.”
Callum stood up and walked over. He watched dotingly as Camryn took out boxes of supplements and
put them into gift bags. He whispered, “Well, you should prepare a few more because we’ll have our
own baby in the future.”
Camryn turned to look at him and smiled. “We’re not even married yet, so it’s too soon to talk about
having babies. Besides, Dr. Carden said that my current constitution is not optimum for bearing
children. It’ll probably take a year or so to get my body back into the pink. A regular doctor will probably
need three to five years to rehabilitate my body.”novelbin
“It’s okay. We can prepare more things for our baby. When they’re born, they’ll be rich little children!”
Camryn laughed and remained silent.
She did not know when she could bear children, so there was no need to prepare for anything yet.
After getting the gifts, Camryn went upstairs to change before they left for the hospital.
Callum thought they could get some medicine for Camryn from the hospital since they were already
visiting Alice there. Camryn was staying at Wildridge Manor tonight and she had to take her medicine
every day.
They made their way to the hospital to visit Alice.
The high-end ward that Alice stayed in was crowded with friends and relatives of the Stone family.
Everyone had received the good news and came to visit Alice and the newborn baby.
When Callum and Camryn knocked on the door, the other visitors had just left. Clive and Alice were in
the room.
The baby was crying, so Clive was comforting his son in his arms while pacing the room. When he saw
Callum, he nodded as a greeting.
“Why is the baby crying?”
Callum saw that Clive was holding the child in a strange way and said to him, “Maybe you’re making
him uncomfortable.”
He came closer to see the baby and thought that the little one was a bit ugly. He was crying with his
eyes closed, and he was very loud. That was not cute at all.
Clive and Alice were both good-looking, so how did they give birth to such an ugly baby?
Callum did not dare to say this aloud.
Grandma May said that the baby was cute and handsome, but Callum could not see it.
“I don’t know. He fell asleep after feeding and cried as soon as he woke up. Son, please stop crying.
Why are you crying?”
Clive coaxed his son, but nothing worked, so he could only pace around with the baby in his arms.
His posture was not great. When Camryn saw Clive carrying the baby, she was worried that the baby
would slip from his arms.
“Maybe he just pooped.”
Alice’s voice came from inside the bedroom.
Clive carried his son back to the bedroom with Callum and Camryn in tow. However, Callum just stood
at the door connecting the hall and the bedroom while Camryn entered the room.
