Chapter 2452

Hayden being a woman was not a secret in the York family.

When Grandma May pointed out Hayden’s identity as a woman with no outsiders present, Hayden

showed no signs of displeasure and remained composed.

“Aunt Ser, Aunt Ser.”

Sonny’s crying voice came from upstairs.

It was then everyone in the room realized that they had forgotten about Sonny.

“I completely forgot about Sonny.”

Serenity got up and said, “I came downstairs right after I called Zachary. I forgot to wake Sonny up to

eat.”

Sonny had gone upstairs to get some shut-eye with Zachary.

They slept together initially, but later, Zachary carried Sonny back to the children’s room. He was afraid

that he might sleep too soundly and accidentally squash Sonny when he turned over.

Zachary followed Serenity upstairs.

Sonny was already out of his room, crying and calling for Serenity as he walked.

“Sonny, Aunt Ser is right here.”

Serenity quickly ran toward her nephew once she got upstairs.

Sonny stopped crying when he saw his aunt. He then ran over and hugged Serenity’s leg.

Serenity wanted to pick him up, but Zachary beat her to it. After lifting Sonny into his arms, he said,

“This little guy has gotten a bit heavy. You shouldn’t carry him too much or you might strain yourself.”

“Uncle Zak.”

With tears still on his face, the little guy in Zachary’s arms softly called him once more, “Uncle Zak.”

“Why is Sonny in tears?”

Zachary gently wiped away the tears on Sonny’s face.

Sonny said, “I couldn’t find you and Aunt Ser, so I cried.”

Zachary chuckled. “It’s my fault, I forgot to wake you up.”

As Zachary carried the little one to his room, Serenity brought a wet towel for Sonny to wipe his face.

Zachary then carried him into the washroom. After washing their hands, the couple brought Sonny

downstairs to have their meal.

Sonny’s mood lit up as he held hands with Serenity and Zachary.

The couple smiled awkwardly at each other. They were so busy being in love with each other, that theynovelbin

completely forgot about Sonny, almost leaving him to starve.

After the meal, a worker’s child came to play with Sonny. Everything else was forgotten as his

excitement was evident. He hastily gathered all his toys into a bag and rushed outside to play.

The Yorks adored him. Every time he visited, they would buy him lots of toys. As he would usually stay

for a few days at a time, he would not bring the toys home. Therefore, Grandma May had someone buy

a toy shelf and put it in the corner of the living room for Sonny to store his toys.

As he was loved by all his elders, Sonny would find lots of toys regardless of whose house he visited.
