Thank goodness Josh was married and Jasmine was pregnant, so Julian had nothing to worry about.
Besides, Quinn only admired the strong, and Josh was a strong character in everybody’s eyes.

“Ms. Crawford.”
“You’re up, Mr. Bucham. Did I wake you? You’ve been asleep for long. It’s almost ten o’clock now. I
called to check whether you were awake.”
Quinn did not drink, so she got up early.
She was out because she could not work out in her room after waking up. She went jogging along the
streets bright early, then returned to the hotel for a shower. Feeling refreshed, she went to the
restaurant on the first floor to enjoy a buffet.
She did not disturb Julian and went to have breakfast alone since he passed out drunk.
The restaurant on the first floor of the hotel was the best in all of Wiltspoon. People from everywhere
could find their local cuisine due to the delicious variety the restaurant offered.
Quinn loved to have her three meals at the hotel’s buffet.
She had eaten at the restaurant multiple times when she brought the kids to stay here for their
competition. When she returned to Summervale, she started to miss the buffet.
“I just woke up and found myself in a hotel room. That was when you called me.”
Julian said gratefully, “You must have dropped me here, Ms. Crawford. Thank you. Sorry, I should be
the one to take care of you but you took care of me instead.”
“I don’t know where you stay, so I brought you here. No need to feel polite about it, Mr. Bucham. You
took me to attend Mr. York’s wedding, where I enjoyed the most delicious food in the world and met the
people I had been wanting to see.
“Mrs. York is not only nice to me, but she gave me her number. She told me to call her when I had time
to talk. She has trained in self-defense before too, so we have something in common to talk about.”
Quinn had a good feeling about Serenity. She was down-to-earth and friendly. Quinn hit it off with her
after a brief exchange.
Josh’s wife was nice too.
That reminded Quinn. Josh and Julian shared the same family name.
Quinn had not asked whether Julian and Josh were family, but many people shared surnames. They
might not be related.
Julian smiled and said, “Serenity is friendly and unpretentious. If you get along with her, you can spend
more time building a friendship with her. Don’t be scared of Zachary.”
Yesterday, Julian noticed that Quinn was reserved when talking to long-time suave businessmen like
Zachary. Maybe Zachary had a certain influence from being in the business for too long.
“I’m not scared. I just think it’s not easy to get along with Mr. York, but it’s okay. I want to hang out with
Mrs. York, not Mr. York. I believe Mr. York wouldn’t do anything to me so long as I stay out of his
business and out of his way.”
Julian burst into laughter and replied, “That’s true. Just stay out of his business and way, and he won’t
do anything to you for my sake. If you win over Mrs. York and the others, you’ll be able to tap into their
networks and resources.”
Even if she did not get along with Serenity, Quinn would still have a strong network of people when she
became his wife.
Serenity introduced Quinn to Jasmine, Elisa, and the rest. They were socialites and heiresses in
Wiltspoon. Yet, they clicked with Quinn and did not mind that she was only a daughter of a gym owner.
She said with a smile, “They are easy to get along with. Ms. Stone’s personality is more my kind.”
Quinn did not know about Elisa before. She had only heard about Zachary, Serenity, and Josh.
She only got to know Elisa at the wedding.
Julian said, “You both are direct and honest. You may enjoy spending more time together if you have
the opportunity.”
Since Quinn had been by his side all day, the upper crust of Wiltspoon now knew that Quinn was his
woman.
Quinn would be his wife in the future, so she had the right to befriend anybody she wanted.
