Chapter 2416

Zachary’s breath was taken away when he saw Serenity sitting in bed with a bright smile.

He knew that his wife was beautiful, but Serenity was not one to dress up often. Today, she wore her

tailored wedding dress and the jewelry he had given her. He could not take his eyes away from her

lightly painted face.

“The groom is blown away.”

Everybody snickered.

“Zachary, you must look for Seren’s glass slipper before you can whisk her away,” Elisa spoke,

referring to Serenity’s wedding shoes.

Zachary approached to give his wife a loving hug. After releasing her, he felt Serenity’s jewelry and

asked, “Does the jewelry feel heavy?”

Serenity was like the display unit of a jewelry store. She nodded her head with a smile. “I can still

handle the weight.”

There were a lot more jewelry pieces that she could not put on. She kept the pieces in the jewelry box,

which was open for everybody to see.

When Serenity first found out about Zachary’s identity, the anger of being lied to drove her to file for

divorce. This scared Zachary. He wanted to assure Serenity that she was good enough for him, so he

offered to transfer his assets to her.

Serenity refused to accept the assets.

Now, he was giving her his assets as wedding gifts to Serenity’s family.novelbin

Liberty adored Serenity, so she did not keep anything from the Yorks. She made sure all the gifts went

to Serenity. After the wedding, Serenity would become the richest woman in Wiltspoon.

“Hang on. I’ll find your wedding shoes right away. We can have our wedding ceremony once I find

them.”

He then whispered, “Do they have anything else in store for us?”

Serenity smiled without saying anything.

Zachary knew that his wife was on the bridesmaids’ side. He stood up and told the groomsmen, “Help

me find the wedding shoes.”

All the men instantly went on a shoe hunt. Even after they turned Serenity’s room upside down, they

were not able to locate the shoes.

Just then, Sonny, who had counted his money, walked into the room.

“What are you looking for, Uncle Zak?”

Zachary replied, “Serenity’s shoes.”

“Oh.” Sonny answered, “I saw the pretty lady hid Aunt Ser’s shoes on the windowsill.”

“Sonny!”

Zachary dashed to the window and pulled the window open. He found Serenity’s shoes on the

windowsill.

They had rummaged through the drawers and searched under the bed. Somehow, they missed the

windowsill.

Zachary smiled and gave Sonny the thumbs up. He praised, “Sonny, you’re such a good boy.”

Sonny thought he had done something wrong, but since Zachary complimented him, the boy

straightened his back and said gleefully, “I’ve always been a good boy. Are you going to be good to

Aunt Ser forever, Uncle Zak?”

Zachary said earnestly, “I will cherish her forever.”

“I believe you. I leave Aunt Ser with you. Let’s go to the ceremony. I am the page boy and ring bearer,

you know.”

Everybody burst into laughter.

The kid was such a mischief.

Zachary escorted his wife to the bridal car while the rest of the wedding party rode with the convoy.

Although they had been married for over a year, Liberty shed tears when Zachary and Serenity got into

the wedding car.

If their parents were still alive, they would be happy to see Serenity marry a good husband.

Liberty looked up at the sky and silently said, “Mom, Dad, I raised Seren, and she has found a good

man. Her husband will take good care of her now. She will be happy. Don’t worry.”
