Chapter 2391

“We’re here. This is my home.”

Quinn led Julian into a house that was built by hand. It has a yard too.

Julian knew where the Crawfords lived. In fact, he had done his homework on his future in-laws.

The Crawfords were not super wealthy in Summervale, but their family gym was well-known. Still, the

Crawfords were more well-off than most families.

They owned the house on the street and a few properties elsewhere.

The Crawfords bought the land for Power Fitness.

Dave, Quinn’s father, planned to leave the family home to the firstborn son as his son could take over

managing the gym. The other properties would be split between his youngest and Quinn.

If Dave could make enough money for another property, he would buy another piece of land and build

his own house. That way, he would have more properties to share among his children and benefit from

the rental income.

The Crawfords’ house was wider than the neighbors'.

There was an arbor covered in flowers at the front door, which was a soft touch to the place.

Julian followed Quinn past the yard to the front door and said, “I thought I’d see a poster promoting

your family gym at the front of the house.”

“Oh, my dad put up one, but my mom tore it to pieces. Actually, my mom would tear down any posters

my dad put up. She said that he was free to put up whatever in the gym, but she wanted the house to

feel like home. Since then, my dad stopped putting anything gym-related up at the house.

“My mom did the interior of the house, and my dad stayed out of it because he didn’t want to start any

argument. Even though my dad excels in the art of self-defense, he couldn’t safeguard himself from my

mom chasing him down the streets. Everybody knows my dad is a sucker for his wife.”

Quinn had witnessed the way her parents got along. Her father’s love for her mother, Zoey, had never

changed over the years.

Zoey was not worried about Dave bringing violence to the house, and Dave would never lay a hand on

Zoey. Quinn had to consider how she would get along with her future husband and how they would

resolve conflicts.

Besides, Quinn could defend herself, but she was not unreasonable. She would not fight back unless

provoked.

“Mom, Dad, we have a guest,” Quinn yelled into the house.

Zoey was cooking in the kitchen. Dave heard his daughter and came out of the house.

“Who is it?” Dave asked curiously.

He saw an unfamiliar man next to Quinn. The man was handsome, carrying himself with poised

confidence. Dave could tell that the man was an elite by the way he commanded the room.

Dave was surprised.

He did not know Julian.

“Dad.”

Quinn approached Dave and introduced Julian to him, “Dad, Mr. Bucham is from Wiltspoon. I once

helped him out there. He expressed interest in taking classes from us when he heard about our family

gym. He knows you’re really good at what you do.”

Dave said, “He wants to take classes from us?”

The family gym welcomed students of a young age, and some trained with them until they were adults,

but Dave had never accepted a thirty-odd-year-old beginner before.

Julian looked young. Quinn believed he was in his twenties, but Dave’s keen eye estimated Julain to be

in his thirties.

“Dad, let’s talk in the house.”

Quinn could tell from the look on her father’s face that he was not keen on accepting Julian as a

student.

She could understand that her father was surprised because she reacted the same way to Julian’s

interest in enrolling.novelbin
