“Caroline, I hope you can bring our family to greater heights and back to its prime. That way, you will be
respected instead of receiving their faux courtesy. For all we know, they could be badmouthing us
behind our backs.”
After a moment of silence, Caroline said, “Mom, even you couldn’t lead the family back to what it was
before after all these years. I can’t guarantee that I’ll be able to do it. Fisher Enterprise has much room
for improvement in various aspects. However, those in charge of the respective departments are my
brothers and children of other elders in the family.”
Caroline had not gained enough foothold in the company, so there was nothing she could do to those
people yet.
“With them around, it’ll be difficult for the company to return to its peak. They’re only thinking about
filling their own pockets instead of putting the company before themselves.”
It was all because of Belinda. Although she obeyed the family tradition of handing down the position of

brother, those people will fear and remain loyal.
“However, a person of power should be kind but also strict to their subordinates. Continuous use of
force and high pressure will only chase talents away.”
Caroline nodded in agreement.
“That’s why you should stay and look after our family business. I’ll attend Mr. York’s wedding myself.
I’m tired after all these years. I think I’ll stay in Wiltspoon for some time to relax.
“There are many fun places in Wiltspoon. I can think of this as a vacation.”
While Belinda had absolute power as the matriarch, she was also very busy. There was not much time
to have fun. She could barely remember the last time she went on a trip.
Endless meetings and documents were awaiting her every day. Whenever something happened within
the family, she had to host family meetings and come to a decision afterward.
With great power came great responsibility; it was no easy feat being the matriarch.
Caroline said, “Since you believe I can manage the company well, I’ll stay back and be in charge. You
can have all the fun you want. I heard Wildridge Manor is a popular location in Wiltspoon.
Unfortunately, it’s not open to outsiders.
“I’m guessing they might open it up to the guests for a day or two in conjunction with Mr. York’s

Belinda smiled and said, “Visiting may be possible, but not an overnight stay. Wiltspoon Hotel is big
enough to host all the guests who are traveling for the wedding. Only those close to the Yorks can stay
in Wildridge Manor.
