Chapter 2372

Trenton scowled.

In the past, Trenton nearly believed his aunts and turned against Camryn.

Thank goodness his conscience drove him to do the right thing, and he did not fall for his aunts’ wicked

plan.

Brenda and Amy were now trying to drive a wedge between him and Camryn since they could not seek

forgiveness from her.

“I know who is to blame. You only got what you had coming. I don't care that you resent me. I enjoy

watching you fail. You can't take what isn't yours. This is what you get for being greedy.”

Camryn did not see the point of arguing with Brenda and Amy. She had watched her aunts reap what

they had sown, and that was enough.

“Let’s go inside, Trenton.”

Camryn whisked Trenton away.

“You’ll regret it, Camryn! You’ll rot in hell!” Brenda yelled as Camryn and Trenton walked away.

Camryn walked to the door and told the housekeeper, “Unleash the hounds in the backyard. If my

aunts come back to stir up trouble, release the dogs. I don't want to give them any respect. No need to

show them any courtesy. Trenton and I are cutting them out of our lives from now on.”

The housekeeper acknowledged Camryn’s instruction with respect.

Camryn had become more assertive now that she could see again.

The domestic help had witnessed Camryn's ruthless side.

After stepping into the house, Camryn said to Trenton, “They didn’t speak up and even covered for thenovelbin

killers after my father was murdered more than two decades ago. That’s a crime, but I couldn’t sue

them because the statute of limitations has passed. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have tolerated their

occasional fuss at the house.

“Trenton, your parents weren’t convicted just for my father's murder. They were also involved in shady

businesses, kidnapping, and intentional bodily harm. I wanted to let you know this now since we

haven’t had time to talk about it yet.”

Camryn refused to acknowledge Paige as her mother. Hence, she addressed Paige as Trenton’s

parent.

Since the murder happened over twenty years ago, the court could not throw the book at the wicked

couple.

Still, Paige and Cain dug themselves a hole, committing many crimes in the last few years.

Trenton turned pale.

His hands were shaking.

Nobody would wish their parents to be murderers.

Trenton was aware that the fault lay with his parents. He thought his parents were only involved in

Abel’s death, but that was not the case. They had broken the law many times.

“Camryn, I don’t blame you. I know that you’re right.”

Camryn looked at Trenton and said, “You’re a kind and righteous soul. I know it must be a painful and

hurtful blow that I sent your parents behind bars. I’m glad that you can see clearly and not be used by

them.

“Trenton, I have never blamed you for any of this. You’re innocent. You weren’t even born when they

committed the crime. We don’t get to choose our parents. You can’t do anything about the parents God

has given you. So, it’s not your fault. Don’t blame yourself. Don’t worry about me coming after you.”

Trenton’s eyes welled up.

He looked at Camryn and gave a firm nod. “I trust you, Camryn. I was never worried that you would

take revenge on me.”

Camryn sighed and patted the back of his hand. “Don't think too much about it. You’re entitled to a

share of the family assets, whether you want it or not. You can decide when you’re ready."
