Chapter 2362

While Hank could walk, he looked weak and spiritless compared to Duncan.

“Mr. Lewis,” Hank greeted nicely.

Duncan nodded and asked, “When were you discharged?”

“Yesterday.”

Duncan thought Hank being discharged could have been for the better. Liberty would not need to take

Sonny to the hospital for visits on weekends anymore.

“You’re here to look for Liberty, right? Why aren’t you going inside?” Chelsea asked Duncan.

“Liberty went inside to get some stuff. We’ll go home together in a bit.”

Duncan purposely phrased it that way to anger them.

Liberty and Hank have been divorced for a year. The Browns should not even dream of pestering her

anymore.novelbin

Some people were brazen enough to think they could get away with anything; Duncan realized the

Browns were such people.

Hank's gaze darkened upon hearing that Duncan would return home with Liberty. However, he

remained silent as he had no right to say anything anyway.

Chelsea had been expecting Hank to retort, but she was disappointed when she saw him staying quiet

and looking sad. She held back her urge to comment out of fear of getting scolded by her parents when

they got back home.

Her parents and Hank agreed that Sonny’s comfort would be their priority. Even if Liberty earned more

money and lived a better life, she would have Sonny inherit them in the future.

Sonny was the Brown family’s grandson, so anything that was left to him from Liberty would belong to

the Browns in the end.

Olivia felt much better having this perspective shift. She also hoped Liberty and Duncan would not have

children after getting married. If so, Sonny could inherit all of Duncan’s assets too.

Sonny would be a rich and powerful CEO in the future. He would not be able to deny his relation to his

father and grandparents when that time came.

To enjoy the benefits Sonny could bring them in the future, the Browns needed to maintain a close

connection to him.

Hank and Chelsea remained silent while Duncan ignored them. The atmosphere felt awkward as the

three of them simply stood there. However, Duncan himself did not feel uncomfortable.

That was the scene Liberty saw when she walked out with her bag.

“Liberty.”

Chelsea looked relieved when she saw Liberty and went up to her.

“What brings you here, Chelsea?” Liberty asked coldly with a frown.

She looked in Hank’s direction, “Are you discharged already?”

Hank was in awe of Liberty’s calmness and tolerance. Their divorce had not been an amicable one

after all.

Despite that, Liberty never instilled negative thoughts of him in Sonny’s head.

She was a decent woman with good fortune.
