Chapter 2360

The flowers Harvey brought were left on Liberty’s desk.

She grabbed the bouquet and ran out to return the flowers to him.

However, Harvey left in a rush and was long gone by the time Liberty emerged from the restaurant.

Helpless, Liberty held the bouquet and did not know what to do with it.

Coincidently, Duncan arrived at the scene.

Duncan saw Liberty standing outside the restaurant with flowers in hand. Thinking the bouquet was for

him, Duncan smiled broadly as the bodyguards wheeled him over.

“Liberty,” Duncan cried.

“You’re here, Mr. Lewis.”

Liberty carried the flowers down the steps.

Duncan waited until Liberty was close before reaching his arms out to take the bouquet. He said, “Why

did you get me flowers? My birthday has passed.”

Liberty replied awkwardly, “These flowers aren’t for you, Mr. Lewis. Mr. Gray gave them to me as an

apology. I didn’t accept it, but he left after putting the flowers down. He was gone by the time I came

out of the restaurant to look for him.”

Duncan felt awkward. His arms froze in the air, but he quickly pulled himself together and took the

bouquet from Liberty.

“I can tell that you’re at a loss as to what to do with the flowers. I’ll take care of them for you.”

He gestured to the bodyguard to push his wheelchair to a nearby trash can where Duncan dumped the

bouquet into.

The giver’s motives were questionable for buying Liberty red roses as an apology.novelbin

Liberty did not read much into it, but Duncan did. He suspected that Harvey had ulterior motives.

A lot of men were paying attention to Liberty now.

Duncan had to watch out for the other guys and make sure he did not have any competition.

Duncan had kept watch and waited for Liberty for a long time. Now that he had seen a glimmer of

hope, he would not allow another man to get in his way.

He returned to Liberty’s side and said, “You can just accept his apology. You shouldn’t keep the roses

though. They’ll take up space from the flowers I will give you.”

Liberty said with a smile, “There’s nothing more to Mr. Gray’s visit. He only came to apologize.”

“He knew better why he really came to your workplace. Many men find you a catch, Liberty. Be careful.

Don’t be fooled by them.”

“After my experience with a man, I won’t trust men easily anymore, but I trust you, Mr. Lewis. You’re

different from most men.”

Duncan was an honest and upright man.

People might approach Liberty because she was Mrs. York’s sister and owned two successful food and

beverage establishments. They might think that she was wealthy because her business was doing well.

That aside, many people wanted to use her to get close to Zachary because she was Serenity's sister.

Liberty did not have to worry about Duncan.

If there was one thing Duncan was after, he wanted to marry Liberty and be Sonny’s father.
