Chapter 2306

When Hayden returned, the secretary had not left and reminded her, “Mr. Queen, Mr. York’s still in the

VIP lounge.”

“Noted. Clear my schedule for tonight. You can get off work now.”

“Okay.”

The secretary could not repress his happiness upon Hayden canceling the night’s schedule. If his boss

was not going to attend any business engagements, he could rest for the night and accompany his

girlfriend.

As Mr. Queen’s secretary, his days would always be busy. He had not been on a date with his girlfriend

for a long time now and she had not been happy about it.

After instructing her secretary to clear her evening, Hayden walked to the VIP lounge and pushed the

door open. She saw Kevin sitting on the sofa with a cup of tea in his hand. He was reading the

newspaper, taken from the coffee table.

He looked relaxed and not a bit annoyed. When he sensed another’s presence in the room, he raised

his head and saw Hayden.

He put the cup of tea down and walked to her before asking concernedly, “Has the meeting ended?

How did it go?”

“The collaboration between Queen Enterprise and Rowling Group was previously settled. The

discussion with Mr. Rowling today saw us finalizing everything.”

“Congratulations.”

Hayden was happy. “Thank you.”

She glanced at the newspaper and his cup of tea. “Were you reading the newspaper just now?”

“Yes. I read the newspaper and had tea while waiting for the woman I love to finish her work. I think

days like these are enjoyable.”

Hayden glared at him. “Who’s your woman?”

“You’re the woman I love. I didn’t say anything wrongly.”

Hayden was lost for words. She misheard and acted on reflex.

“Are you done with your work for the day?”

Seeing her rendered speechless made Kevin feel he was at an advantage. He held her hand happily,

but she flung his hand away. When he tried again, he held tighter to prevent her from escaping this

time.

“Kevin, we’re still at Queen Enterprise, my company,” Hayden reminded sternly.

She flung his hand away again forcefully. Right when he made another attempt, she warned, “I’ll throw

you over my shoulder.”

“You’ll have to take care of me if I’m injured.”

“No one will care for you. You asked for it.”

Hayden turned toward the door. “I’m going home to have dinner with my parents.”

She originally had a business dinner that night but for Kevin’s sake, she had her secretary cancel it.

Upon hearing that, Kevin immediately followed her with a smile. He said, “I miss Donnie and Sophianovelbin

very much. I’ll go with you.”

Hayden could not be bothered to answer him. Kevin was already brazen enough to have meals at her

home every day.

“By the way, I forgot to tell you something.”

Hayden exited the VIP lounge and seeing her heading back to the office, Kevin went after her. Without

turning her head, she said, “Speak. I’m listening.”

Kevin handed over an invitation card to her. She stopped and glanced at him before looking at the card

and asked, “What’s this?”

“Zachary and Serenity are bringing their wedding forward. They would love to have you and your family

at their wedding. Someone else was supposed to deliver this to you, but I decided to do it myself.”

Kevin only remembered his little errand after noticing the invitation when he was changing out of the

dress.

Hayden accepted the invitation card when she heard it was for Zachary and Serenity’s wedding. She

opened it for a read before saying, “Okay. I’ll go over on the day of the wedding.”

“You can arrive two days earlier. We have plenty of rooms in our home, especially for guests like you

who are coming from afar.”

Hayden returned to her desk with the card. She packed up her things and took something before

heading out with Kevin.

“I only have a day.”

“Your family stayed at Wiltspoon for two days during Josh’s wedding back then.”

After a moment of silence, Hayden said, “Okay. I’ll work overtime these few days and see if I can get in

two or three days’ time to attend their wedding.”

There was no doubt about her attending Zachary’s wedding.

The only issue was her duration of stay.
