Chapter 2245
Zachary and Serenity gifted Liberty a villa, but she refused the generous gift. The property had yet to
be transferred to her name, and she had not moved in either.
Liberty was without a word.
Faced with Liberty’s silence, the Lewises’ bodyguard knew better than to offer more unsolicited advice.
As Liberty opened the door to her home, he said, “Ms. Hunt, don’t forget to lock the door. I got to go.”
“Sure, thank you. Drive safely,” Liberty urged.
She laid her son down on the sofa before checking the front door. By then, the bodyguard had already
left. She quickly locked the door and returned to the sofa to pick her son up and take him to the
bedroom.
“You’re out like a light. You haven’t even showered.”
Liberty gave her son a gentle squeeze on the cheek. She let him sleep instead of waking him up.
Sonny could have a nice, hot shower when he wakes up in the morning.
“Sonny.”
Liberty leaned forward to kiss her son on the cheek. “It must have been hard for you to leave home and
stay out late with me all the time.”
Sonny was asleep, oblivious to his mother’s voice. Of course, he would not respond to his mother.
Liberty got up to take a shower.
Once out of the shower, Liberty found a lot of text messages on her phone from Duncan.
In the text messages, Duncan persuaded Liberty to move to The Oasis, citing the more refined security
measures in place. He owned a villa there, as did Josh.
Zachary bought a property in The Oasis first, and Duncan and Josh followed suit by buying themselves
one each too. They were best buddies, so living in the same residential area made sense.
They could go to their best friend’s place for late-night drinks.
When Zachary first got married to Serenity, he would often call his two best friends out for drinks in the
middle of the night after a spat with her. Jim would always end up taking Zachary home drunk.
Jim even had to pretend to be an Uber driver to trick Serenity for a while. His good acting sure had her
fooled.
After reading Duncan’s messages, Liberty realized that the bodyguard had told Duncan about the
drunk man.
She wrote back, “The drunk man in the elevator was a rare incident, and nothing happened. Don’t
worry.”
Duncan had just arrived back at the Lewises’ residence.
He immediately gave Liberty a call upon receiving her reply.
Liberty took the call.
“Take my advice and move into The Oasis, Liberty. Mr. Julian invested in the development of the
residential area, and the security is top-notch. That’s why Zachary, Josh, and I bought villas there.
Besides, the properties are sold out, and the occupancy rate is at 90% now.
“I know Zachary and Serenity gave you and Sonny the villa as a gift. The ownership transfer can be
initiated immediately if you say yes. It’s a gift from your sister to thank you for all the years you’ve
raised her. She will feel bad if you don't accept it.”novelbin
