Chapter 2219

“Mom?”novelbin

Celine was surprised to hear Madam Fisher’s voice over the phone.

She took a whole different personality, making herself to be the victim as she answered, “Mom, Kevin

pulled one on me. He deflated all my tires, and I’m stranded with the car. It’s hot outside. I wanted

Caroline to pick me up. It won’t take her a lot of time to make a trip to Queen Enterprise anyway since

it’s after work hours, and it won’t get in the way of her working overtime.”

“Why did you get involved with Kevin again? Do you take my advice seriously? I told you not to get on

Kevin’s nerves. He’s a York! Even I am courteous with Kevin. Who do you think you are to stir trouble

with Kevin?”

Madam Fisher let her anger rip.

For once, she lost her patience with Celine.

“Do you think you can bear the consequences of the York family going after our family? If that happens,

don’t blame me for disowning you to save the family.”

“Mom!”

Celine thought she was hearing things.

Was she talking to the mother who was partial to her?

“Mom, I was only pursuing Mr. Hayden the way Kevin did it. I didn’t know he’d be at Queen Enterprise.

We just ran into each other, and I didn’t do anything to him. He was the one who released the air of my

tires out of the blue. He started it. I’m competition to him, so he’s out to get me.”

“That goes without saying, you are his competitor after all. Celine, Carol is with me now to see a client.

She doesn’t have time. You can either call the chauffeur or get your brother to pick you up. From now

on, stop calling Carol on workdays and disrupting her work.”

Madam Fisher then ended the call and gave the phone back to Caroline.

“Thank you, Mom.”

Caroline thanked her mother.

Madam Fisher felt a tug in her heart.

Her coddling of Celine had led to Celine pushing and kicking Caroline around, and it was too much.

Madam Fisher stared at her biological daughter and uttered in a flat tone, “I’ll take Celine to change her

last name tomorrow. She should take her father’s last name. She is a Dott.”

Celine was the daughter of Marc the butler.

She was no daughter of hers.

Caroline faintly replied, “That’s between you and Celine. I won’t interfere in your business.”

Madam Fisher said nothing thereafter.

On the other side, Celine was hopping mad and had no choice but to call her sister-in-law to pick her

up.

Once Emma arrived, Celine contacted the tow truck to take the car away.

“Celine.”

Emma parked the car and rolled down the window before waving at Celine.

Celine hurried to the car and got in while saying, “It’s burning hot. Any later, and I’ll get heatstroke,

Emma.”

“What happened to you?” Emma asked with concern.

Celine told the whole story to her sister-in-law.

She worriedly added, “Emma, I wonder what Caroline badmouthed about me to Mom because Mom

took her side and scolded me over the phone.”

Emma scoffed and responded, “You don’t know what’s going on since you’re not working in the

company. Caroline got lucky and closed a huge deal. She went with Mom to a hotel to meet with the

client in the afternoon to sign the contract. Once the deal is signed, the business venture should bring

great profit to Fisher Enterprise.”
