Chapter 2214

The setting sun caressed Hayden’s face with its rays, but even the sunlight could not melt her icy

expression. Likewise for the blazing sun at noon, which was likely to fail in softening her tensed facial

lines.

“Kevin, I told you I don’t like flowers. Stop giving me flowers!” Hayden said as she shoved the bouquet

away so that nothing could come in her path of leaving.

Kevin took her hand, but Hayden broke free from his grasp.

“Hayden, I’m trying to win you over. Flowers are a must to get me a wife.”

Since Kevin followed Hayden along like a puppy, Hayden’s security detail was tempted to sneak up

from behind and give him a kick in the derriere.

Alas, they could only envision the scene in their heads as they could not possibly lay a hand on Kevin

in reality.

Donald and Sophia were not the only ones nice to Kevin. Even Hayden tolerated Kevin’s behavior.

Hayden may appear annoyed every time Kevin showed up, but their employer had been patient with

Kevin. The worst Hayden would do was give Kevin the stink eye, a long face, and a telling-off no matter

what the latter did.

The bodyguards were horrified that Kevin would soon win their employer’s heart.

Sigh.

If only lightning would strike on a shameless man like Kevin.

“What do you like if not flowers?” Kevin asked with a smile.

“I bought you nice dresses, but you wouldn’t accept or wear them. You don’t want jewelry, and you

don’t like flowers. Hayden, what do you like? I’ll send you flowers, jewelry, and dresses paired with

stilettos if you won’t tell me. I really want to see you in a dress and strutting your stuff in heels. I’m sure

you will look fantastic.”

Hayden scowled.

She never wore a dress, much less a pair of high heels.

Hayden was used to taking large strides in leather shoes.

She would probably fall or sprain her ankle without taking more than a few steps in heels.

“Let me buy you a meal, Hayden. Don’t be so quick to leave. That reminds me, I have good news to

share. I’m going to be an uncle. My sister-in-law is finally pregnant. Haha. I’m going to be an uncle, and

you, an aunt.”

“Aunt, my *ss,” Hayden stopped in her tracks and yelled at him as her patience ran thin.

He was basically telling everyone that she was a woman.

Hayden knew that nobody would believe that fact. All other people would think was that Kevin, as the

top, was seeing Hayden as the bottom.novelbin

By the sympathetic looks she was getting, Hayden knew what was going through their heads.

“Well, you do have a nice *ss for an aunt. You’re good-looking and attractive to be my niece or

nephew’s aunt. I wonder if it’s going to be a boy or a girl.”

Kevin joked around, not taking Hayden’s scolding to heart.

“Hayden, I won’t give up on you. You’re the only wife for me. Since we’re getting married sooner or

later, I’m going to be the uncle and you are the aunt now that my sister-in-law is pregnant. I want to

take you to Wiltspoon in a couple of days.”

Kevin was happy to know that he was becoming an uncle, so he wanted to return home for a visit.

Callum managed to get Dr. Carden from Annenburg, and they would be flying together to Wiltspoon to

treat Camryn’s eyes.

Kevin had been in Jensburg for a while, and he was missing home.

Before he could make his trip back to Wiltspoon, he needed to persuade his wife-to-be to come along.

Kevin believed he should share his family’s good news with Hayden, who was his fiancée, as they were

going to be living together.

Hayden was speechless.

She turned on her heel to leave, not wanting to waste her breath on Kevin.

The guy knew no shame.
