Chapter 2208

Theresa glanced at her aunt. Since Rebecca did not say anything, she stopped talking as well.

After all, Jasmine was her aunt’s daughter-in-law.

The baby in her belly was also the next generation of the Bucham family. Theresa was only here to

give nutritional advice.

In fact, there was not much that Rebecca could say either. The food was made by her daughter-in-law’s

family, and her daughter-in-law did not go back to her home to eat every day. There was no problem

eating it once in a while.

“I’ll go to the washroom,” Jasmine said and hurried to the washroom.

After she left, Theresa said softly, “Aunt Rebecca, will Jasmine blame me for saying too much and

being controlling? Pickled products should be eaten less, even for normal people. Pickled food never

appears on the dining tables of our families, but Jasmine likes them so much.

“She even ran back to her home to eat it. Does she dislike the meals I planned for her, and that they

aren’t to her liking? It was you who called me here, and I only came because of you and Josh.”

Rebecca said softly to her niece, “Pregnant women’s appetites change. Sometimes, they’ll have a

craving so strong that they want to eat it immediately. The meals you planned for Jasmine are great.

They’re rich in nutrition and balanced in meat and vegetables. Jasmine is a lot rounder now, and her

complexion has improved too.

“However, that’s her family. She lived with them for more than twenty years and is used to the taste of

her mother’s cooking. It’s normal for her to want to eat home-cooked food. Don’t take it to heart.

Jasmine isn’t that kind of person. She won’t dislike you. We can’t tell her that she can’t go back to her

home to eat, right?

“She didn’t eat much either. She just had a little, so nothing will happen. During her prenatal checkups,

the doctor also said that the baby is developing normally. It’s a blessing that she can eat.”

Rebecca added, “Now, her best friend Serenity is pregnant too. I believe the York family will also

arrange for a nutritionist to plan her meals. When Jasmine has a buddy to accompany her, there’ll be

nothing else she can say. Don’t take it to heart.”

Theresa was silent for a long time before saying, “I’m doing this for the baby’s and her sake. If she

really dislikes the meals I planned out for her, then I’ll leave her alone and let her eat whatever she

wants.

“Josh has also read many books related to pregnancy. They can raise their baby by following the

books.”

“I know that you have Jasmine and the baby’s best interests at heart. None of us dislike you, so don’t

entertain foolish ideas. Jasmine won’t dislike you either. You know what kind of person she is. She lived

with her family for more than twenty years, and there are some living habits that can’t be changed all of

a sudden.

“Besides, there aren’t that many rules in our family. Our requirements for Jasmine now are considerednovelbin

very harsh on her. She’s used to being free.”

Theresa said, “There’s a price to pay for marrying into a wealthy family.”

Her aunt’s family was affluent and was not inferior to the York family.

Although Jasmine’s family did not lack money, there was still a gap with the Buchams.

Jasmine easily married into a wealthy family, and her in-laws and elders were all very good to her. She

did not have to follow that many rules either. She just had to stay at home to nurture the baby, go out

less, and pay more attention to her diet.

However, Jasmine could not do even that.

“Our family doesn’t pay attention to those things. As long as the young couple are happy, I’m happy as

their mother. I was overjoyed when Josh was finally willing to get married. Jasmine is also good in all

aspects.”

Theresa pursed her lips and muttered, “I still don’t think that she’s good enough for Josh, but there’s

nothing I can say at this point.”

Rebecca laughed. “Yes yes yes, there’s nothing to say.”

Theresa stopped talking.

Jasmine had already finished her business in the washroom, but when she heard her mother-in-law

and Theresa talking about her, she deliberately stayed hidden in the washroom to eavesdrop. She

could hear clearly what they were saying thanks to her excellent hearing.

Theresa was from her in-law’s family, so she could not say anything. Although Theresa was serious

and strict, she did not do anything to Jasmine.

Rebecca said that Jasmine could not do this and that, but it was not mandatory. She would not say

anything even if Jasmine did it.
