Chapter 2181

Zachary did not need Liberty’s help. Liberty could not have an idle moment, so she went ahead and

helped out in the kitchen.

While holding Serenity’s hand, Grandma May chatted with her.

In the end, Grandma May said, “That psychic is brilliant. As I said, those words aren’t meant to just

comfort you. Look, they’re true, aren’t they?”

Serenity grinned and responded, “Yes, yes. The psychic is an expert. He’s skillful.”

“Yeah. If he weren’t capable, I wouldn’t have trusted him.”

Grandma May continued, “In fact, I believe in fate. I think fate determines the course of our lives. We

can’t force things.

“The Yorks have never done anything evil, and what’s more, you’re good-hearted. How could God

possibly not grant you a child? Having said that, it depends on luck. Just relax and nurture your baby.

Don’t get overstressed.

“Continue doing what you can do. I won’t demand you to stay at home and nurture the baby without

doing anything else. Most importantly, you should stay in a good mood.novelbin

“You must be bored if you do nothing, and this will affect your mood. We aren’t that delicate. Being too

delicate isn’t a good thing.”

Grandma May knew her eldest granddaughter-in-law too well.

Serenity certainly could not bring herself to do nothing just because she was pregnant.

Grandma May was still working after giving birth to a few children and during her pregnancies.

When her granddaughters-in-law were pregnant, they still attended all kinds of events with their

husbands and had business talks, unless their reactions to pregnancy were particularly strong. It was

during the third trimester of their pregnancies that they started to stay home and nurture their babies.

To Grandma May, what mattered most was the pregnant woman's mood.

Therefore, it was up to the pregnant lady to do whatever she wanted. Grandma May would not control

Serenity.

Upon listening to Grandma May’s words, Serenity felt relieved.

Even though Zachary would not force Serenity to stay home and nurture the baby, he was worried that

his elders would act like Buchams’ elders whereby they forbade Jasmine to make requests.

Serenity was not the kind who would push herself. She would do what she could, and she would not

push herself into doing what she could not. The baby in her belly mattered more than anything else.

“Nana.”

Serenity hooked her arm to Grandma May’s and said in a touched manner, “It’s very fortunate of me to

be able to be your granddaughter-in-law.”

Grandma May laughed and said, “The feeling is mutual. We’re blessed.

“I hope that Zachary and you are happy. Since we’re wealthy, we don’t lack money, so happiness is the

most important thing.”

“I’m happy. Ever since I married Zachary, I’ve been living happily. Although there have been minor

conflicts between us sometimes, we can quickly solve them.”

There had been less conflict between the couple.

Even if they quarreled at times, they would communicate and talk sense into each other after they

cooled down. None of them would be oppressive.

There was no denying that Zachary had changed a lot for Serenity’s sake.

Serenity too had changed a lot for Zachary’s sake.

“Just let Zack know what you want to eat.”

“I know, Nana. At first, I wanted to eat pulled pork with sauerkraut at the manor. We couldn’t make the

meal there, so we came over.” Serenity laid her head on Grandma May’s body and said, “Zack really

pampers me a lot. I love him to the moon and back.”

“He loves you to the moon and back too. Haha. That brat even refused to admit it previously.”

Serenity laughed too.

The door was opened shortly.

It was Mrs. Lane.

Mrs. Lane would come to clean the place and manage the plants every day. She also brought along the

pet dog that Zachary gave to Serenity earlier.

The pet dog was closest to Mrs. Lane and Serenity. At the sight of Zachary, it would quickly hide in a

corner.

It was aware that its male owner disliked it though he was the one who bought it.

Old Mrs. York, Missus.”

Mrs. Lane was astonished to see the two of them.
