Chapter 2156

Serenity was stunned. She said, “It can’t be. I think… Jane, I think I haven’t gotten my period this

month.”

Was she really pregnant?

“My periods have been irregular recently. It was late sometimes, so I didn’t pay much attention.

However, it usually comes a few days later.”

“You’re definitely pregnant.”

Jane smiled. “Some people do get morning sickness after just getting pregnant.

“Congratulations, Seren!”

Serenity grinned too. “I don’t know whether I’m pregnant or I’ve eaten something bad yet, Jane. Don’t

congratulate me just yet. It might be a false alarm.”

“From my experience and instinct, you must be pregnant. Lilian’s a doctor. We’ll find out once she

checks on you.”

After speaking, Jane pulled Serenity out.

She requested a maid to look for Lilian too.

Next, Jane forced Serenity to sit on the sofa.

Everyone was concerned about what had happened to Serenity.

Jane said with a smile, “Seren may be pregnant. Her period hasn’t arrived, but she never thought of

this possibility. What a careless person she is.”

“Really? Congratulations, Seren!”

The young wives in the children’s room congratulated Serenity upon hearing the news.

Serenity said embarrassedly, “It’s not confirmed whether I’m pregnant yet.”

Iris said, “You rushed into the bathroom to vomit just now, right? Your period hasn’t come, and you

vomited. These are signs that occur in the early stages of pregnancy. You must be pregnant.”

“I already asked someone to invite Lilian over. We’ll find out soon after she comes up and examines

you.”

Serenity was smiling, but she felt nervous.

She did not know whether she was really pregnant.

She was afraid of being disappointed in the end.novelbin

Only the heavens knew how badly she wanted to be pregnant.

Her in-laws never urged her about it, but she still felt pressured.

Whenever Aunt Audrey looked at her stomach, she knew Aunt Audrey was worried about her.

Everyone held themselves back and rarely talked about children in front of her to avoid stressing her

out.

The attentive Zachary noticed that a maid was looking for Lilian. When he heard Lilian was requested

to conduct a checkup on Serenity, he rushed over and asked the maid frantically, “What happened to

my wife?”

The maid replied truthfully, “I don’t know exactly. Mrs. York suddenly vomited. Our missus was worried,

so she asked me to invite Mrs. Johnson upstairs to check on Mrs. York.”

After she spoke, Zachary immediately went upstairs.

Even Lilian was in awe of his speed.

“Seren, Seren.”

Zachary was in a state of shock.

They had been married for a year. Serenity rarely got sick, let alone vomited.

Zachary barged into the children’s room. He did not bother feeling embarrassed even when he saw the

room was filled with young wives of many prominent families. He walked to Serenity’s side quickly.

Jane tactfully made space for Zachary.

“What happened to you, Seren? I heard you vomited. Why did you vomit? Did you eat something that

upset your stomach? Or did you eat something that had gone bad?”

Zachary asked a series of questions.

Before Serenity could speak, Jane said while grinning, “Don’t be too anxious, Mr. York. Seren has been

eating and living in FC Manor. There’s no way she could’ve eaten something that had gone bad. It

might’ve been morning sickness.”

“Morning sickness? Why would she have morning sickness when she… Morning sickness!”

Zachary finally understood what morning sickness meant.

He stared at Serenity dumbfoundedly.

Morning sickness, morning sickness.

It only occurred when a woman was pregnant.

Was Serenity pregnant?

Upon that realization, Zachary was first in disbelief, then utter excitement.

He sought confirmation from his beloved wife cautiously, “Is it true, Seren? Am I going to be a father?”
