Chapter 2111

Corey responded, “It’s good that he woke up. That way, Sonny will still have a father. It’d be a pity if he

lost his father at such a young age.”

Duncan said, “Sonny isn’t close to his father. Hank used to toss him to Liberty and Serenity to raise. He

did nothing himself and only teased the child when he felt like it. He even often made Sonny cry.novelbin

“His parents are the same. Their relationship with Sonny is superficial, and they’re not that sincere

about him. Children are closer to their caretakers. Sonny is as close to Serenity as he is to his own

mother, whereas he’s not close to his grandparents and his paternal aunt.

“Fortunately, Liberty won custody of Sonny. Sonny following her is the best outcome.”

Corey hummed.

“Now, the Brown family is desperately trying to get closer to Sonny. Although it’s not too late, watching

them makes me want to ridicule them a little.”

In fact, Duncan quite disliked the Brown family.

He did not like the Browns very much.

In particular, he found Chelsea shameless and philistine. She treated Liberty so badly in the past, but

now that she saw Liberty making money, she wanted to stick to Liberty instead. It was like she was a

vampire sucking Liberty’s blood.

“Sonny’s paternal aunt is the most shameless person I’ve ever seen.”

Duncan could not help but complain to his mother.

Then, he told his mother what he saw and heard in Hank’s ward.

“They’re shameless. That whole family is shameless. Liberty was right to refuse her. It’s best to stay as

far away as possible from people like them. Liberty was too kind and didn’t break off the relationship

between her son and her ex-husband’s family. An ordinary woman would have taken her son away

after the divorce and never come back.”

Duncan was silent before saying, “Their divorce agreement stated that the Brown family can see Sonny

at any time, and Hank is also paying child support. After all, the child is innocent. Liberty did it for

Sonny.”

The relationship between Hank and Sonny was not deep, but Hank still loved his son. He often visited

Sonny, bought things for him, and took him out to play, giving him fatherly love.

Everything Liberty did was for Sonny. She wanted him to grow up healthily and happily. She did not

want to part on bad terms after the divorce like what usually happens to other people. It was always the

children who got hurt when that happened.

If they parted on bad terms, they would always hold resentment against the other party while facing the

child. They would scold and complain about the other party in front of the child, which would bring

negative effects to the child.

Sonny was loved by all, but no matter how much others loved him, it could not replace a father’s love.

Liberty just did not want her son to miss out on fatherly love.

“I’m just worried their family will use Sonny to get Hank and Liberty to remarry.”

“You don’t have to worry about that, Mom. No one can take away the woman I’ve set my sights on.

Don’t worry. Liberty will become your daughter-in-law one day as long as you don’t dislike or object

her.”

Corey laughed. “As expected of my son. You’re domineering. I don’t dislike her, nor will I object. This is

between you and Liberty. Just do your best.”

Duncan smiled. He had always been doing his best!

Now, he had plenty of time to accompany Liberty. With him here, Hank had no chance. Besides, Liberty

made it clear that she would not go back to Hank. Hank had no intention of remarrying her either, but

even if he did, Liberty would not accept it.

In her words, she finally jumped out of the fire pit. She would never jump back in again.

The Brown family was good to her now because they saw that her business was doing well, and she

earned more than enough money as well as opening a second shop.

They also wanted to get some benefits from Serenity through Liberty.

Liberty never wanted to hold Serenity back, much less let the Browns hold her back.
