Chapter 2063

Liam said, “I’d advise you not to talk to our son and daughter-in-law about this to prevent a family war

from breaking out.”

“Mom isn’t around, and I don’t think I can handle your son. If you feel you’re able to persuade him, you

can tell him about this.

“I told you not to be hasty. They just got their marriage license a year ago, not ten or eight years ago.

Why are you so anxious?”

After a moment of silence, Tania said, “Actually, I’m still hoping that Serenity can get pregnant as soon

as possible and give birth to our grandchild. That way, we can live a peaceful life while taking care of

our grandchildren. She doesn’t even have to care for the child after giving birth. She can manage her

business with no worries at all.

“This issue will always be a thorn in my heart as long as she hasn’t given birth. Nevertheless, I don’t

dare to be too obvious about urging her to get pregnant.”

Tania wished her daughter-in-law could be like the wives in other wealthy families who stayed home to

support their husbands and care for their children. At most, they would be managing household

matters, overlooking store businesses, or collecting rent.

Besides, they did not have to do those errands personally. A proper staff arrangement was all it took.

However, Serenity was a woman who constantly pursued self-improvement. She also witnessed her

sister end up with a divorce from not working after getting married. Therefore, Serenity expressed early

on that she would not hide behind a man as a housewife like other missuses.

If Zachary could not accept her working even after marriage, he could divorce her.

However, how could Zachary, who had fallen head over heels for her, be willing to get a divorce? When

Serenity wanted to leave him after his identity was exposed back then, he even confined her in his villa

just to make her stay.

It was evident how crazy he was for her.

The York family knew Serenity was his weakness too. Without her around, he would go insane.

Serenity could do whatever she wanted. Why would others butt in when her husband supported her?

Tania had the same opinion. She was aware of her son and daughter-in-law’s love for each other.

Therefore, she did not dare to reveal her wish for Serenity to be a stay-at-home missus. Her husband

would not say a word about it either. It was to prevent it from affecting Zack and Serenity’s relationship.

It would have affected Tania and Serenity’s relationship as well.

As Grandma May said, the youngsters could take care of themselves.

Tania was quiet for a moment. Then, she said, “Let’s wait and see if there’s a chance to talk to Serenity

privately and tell her not to let Zachary know.”

Liam told his wife off. “After everything I said, you still refuse to listen. You just won’t give up unless you

fail. You’ll be the one who’s upset if you anger your son.

“Besides, Serenity and Zack are husband and wife. They’re as intimate as conjoined twins. Even if

Serenity doesn’t tell Zack about it, won’t he still find out when she brings the supplements back home?”

“She can lie to him by saying it’s just vitamins to strengthen the body.”

“They have a family doctor too. He’ll know what the supplements are for after getting the doctor to havenovelbin

a look.”

Tania was speechless.

At that moment, the butler entered.

“Mr. and Mrs. York, Mr. Zachary and his missus are back. Mr. Callum and his wife are with them too.”

When Tania heard that her son was back, she immediately folded the prescription and asked her

husband, “Liam, where should I place this prescription?”

“It’s better to tear it.”

“My mom brought me this. She’s just being kind. It’s not very nice to tear it apart.”

Tania wanted to stuff the prescription paper into her pocket, but she wore a skirt that did not have

pockets. In the end, she hid it under the coffee table.

The butler was curious but dared not ask questions.

Liam thought it would be difficult for his wife to take the paper out again if it was hidden under the

coffee table. Since they were the only ones who knew about it, it would not be a problem.

“I’m going out to take a look.”
