Chapter 2028

Sonny was born to Liberty but seemed to be shared by everyone. Everyone loved him as if he were

their own.

Although Liberty and Hank were divorced, Sonny was still loved by many people. He could grow up

healthy in a loving environment.

“I can pick him up at four, so I’ll probably have to head to the preschool at around half-past three. Mr.

Lewis, if you’re free, we can pick him up together in the afternoon. He’ll be delighted to see you.”

Duncan said, “I always do rehab in the morning, and my afternoons and evenings are free. It’s boring to

stay at home, so going out for walks makes me feel better.”

He would receive looks of sympathy from many people whenever he went out, but as he received a lot

of them, he went from a state of denial to acceptance.novelbin

When he met acquaintances, he could greet them as before and was no longer afraid to face

sympathetic looks from people.

Duncan’s body was crippled, but not his brain. He could still do things.

He had decided to return to work next Monday.

After all, rehab would take a long time.

The achievements of Lewis & Co. were the outcome of his hard work over several years, so he could

not let it go.

He still had to rely on the company to earn enough money for his future wife. Once his legs recovered,

he would propose to Liberty.

If he failed once, he would try it a second time, a third time, or countless times until she agreed to his

proposal.

Duncan and Liberty walked and chatted while Duncan’s bodyguard quietly followed behind them.

People who did not know the truth would think that Liberty and Duncan were a married couple.

Chelsea walked out of the inpatient department and walked a little way before she saw Liberty pushing

Duncan. She immediately stopped and tugged at her husband, asking him, “Honey, doesn’t that

woman look like Liberty? It looks like her from the back.

“She’s pushing Mr. Lewis, right? Did they still end up together?”

Her husband took a look and answered, “It’s Liberty. Even if she’s with Mr. Lewis, it’s her freedom. She

and Hank have been divorced for a long time. Your brother has remarried, so it’s also normal for her to

find a new man.”

Following that, he sighed and added, “Some people have it hard at first but will be rewarded later.

Liberty and her sister are both blessed. We never dreamed that Serenity could marry into a rich family

—the richest family in Wiltspoon.

“We also didn’t think that Liberty could slim down and look younger and more beautiful than before her

divorce.”

‘She’s especially charming now.’

George also thought that Liberty was now a magnet, attracting people’s attention wherever she went.

She could easily become the focus of a crowd.

She also dressed differently from before the divorce and looked more elegant.

Chelsea glared at him.

“I’m just telling the truth, so why are you glaring at me? Don’t you think that Liberty looks younger and

prettier than before?”

Chelsea choked and said, “That’s the truth.”

Liberty was not old, to begin with. She was only thirty-one at the moment. She was just too fat and did

not dress well in the past, making people think she was old and ugly. When she successfully slimmed

down and started her own business, she seemed to have become a new person and was more

beautiful than when she and Hank were in love.

“Mr. Lewis is in a wheelchair now, and yet she still wants to be with him? Isn’t she asking for trouble? If

she married Mr. Lewis, she would’ve to take care of him for the rest of his life. It’s not easy to take care

of someone with mobility issues.”

Chelsea continued, “Even if she wants to remarry, she should find a healthy man. I’ll go and persuade

her someday not to be with Mr. Lewis. As rich as Mr. Lewis is, he’s crippled, so he’s not suitable for

her.”

“You’re still trying to set her up with Hank, right? Your brother and Jessica aren’t divorced yet. Besides,

Liberty has said countless times that she and your brother won’t remarry.”

George questioned Chelsea, “Who are you to persuade Liberty? Who are you to meddle in her private

affairs? Her sister doesn’t even manage her relationship problems, so why is an outsider like you being

nosy?

“I know your family regrets it, but what’s the use of regretting? There’s no medicine for regret. Your

family is just not blessed.”

After he finished, he was instantly pinched by Chelsea.
