Chapter 1996

Hayden was mad, but she still called her brother and asked him to go home for dinner together.

“Why did Dad call us back for dinner? Are we celebrating something at home?” Hugh asked. He and

his sister normally lived in their respective villas and only went home for a meal with their parents

during the holidays.

“Kevin went to our house and went fishing with Dad the whole afternoon. Dad said he caught half a

bucket of fish. Kevin wants to grill fish, so Dad asked us to go home to try some.”

Hayden was resentful as she explained.

Kevin was best at fawning over people. Hayden’s dad would not last more than three seconds in front

of him and might expose her secret indeed.

The same applied to her mom.

Hugh smiled and said, “Kevin is really something to have made Dad so happy. Since Dad asked us to

go back for dinner, let’s go then. I haven’t had drinks with him for a long time either, so I’ll have a

couple with him tonight.”

Hayden responded helplessly, “I have a social engagement tonight, but Dad insists that I go home.”

Hugh gloated at her misfortune and said, “To Mom and Dad, business matters are small matters. Your

marriage is more important.”

“You can’t get away either once I’m sold, so stop gloating here. I’m only ten minutes older than you.”

Hugh replied, “Bro, then you’d better stall for longer and don’t accept Kevin’s pursuit too soon. Let me

play for two more years. I plan to get married at thirty.”

He was only twenty-eight years old at the moment and could play for two more years.

Hayden quietly hung up the phone.

‘My marriage…

‘I’ve never considered it before.’

Kevin’s appearance disturbed her peaceful life.

At her dad’s request, Hayden could only go back to Queen Manor.novelbin

It was also a good time for her to ask Kevin about the hidden agenda of his pursuit of her.

Hayden sat quietly in her office for two minutes before she got up and walked out of the office. She

instructed her secretary, who was still waiting for her, “The chairman suddenly asked me to go home.

Help me cancel all my plans tonight.”

“Understood.”

The secretary dared not ask what happened to the chairman.

Given that Hayden canceled all his plans tonight to go home, it must be something big.

Ten minutes later, Hayden walked out of the office building. Her bodyguards had been waiting for her at

the entrance. Seeing as she came out, they greeted her with respect and followed her to the parking

lot.

Who knew, she was stopped by Celine at the building entrance.

The driver stopped the car.

Celine walked up to Hayden’s car window and knocked on it.

Hayden did not wind down the window. Instead, she ordered the driver, “Drive.”

The driver quickly drove off.

Celine wanted to block Hayden again, but she was too late.

“Mr. Hayden, Mr. Hayden…”

Celine ran for a while and knew she could not catch up, so she could only stop.
