Chapter 1992

Hayden was speechless.

“Grandma May, you know about me and Kevin?”

“Of course. The internet is so developed now. Although it happened in Jensburg, as long as I surf the

internet, I can also see it from Annenburg.”

Hayden suddenly felt that her attempt to complain through this phone call would fail.

Grandma May knew about it, and so did Kevin’s mom. Nevertheless, if Grandma May, who was known

as the stabilizing force of the Yorks, did not react to it nor control Kevin, what could Hayden complain

about?

It would be futile.

The outcome would probably be the same as what Zachary said. As long as Kevin was happy, they

would not care about who he was pursuing.

“Grandma May, I’m a man.”

Hayden continued in a low voice, “I’m not homosexual, so it won’t end well if Kevin wastes his time onnovelbin

me. I do think that he’s treating me like this because he doesn’t want to marry the wife candidate you

chose for him.

“We’ve all heard about the wife candidates you chose for your grandsons, Grandma May.”

The old lady asked with a smile, “Didn’t Kev tell you clearly?”

‘That brat has started pursuing Hayden, and yet he didn’t tell her that she’s his wife candidate.’

Hayden heard the point. She answered in a low voice, “Kevin didn’t tell me clearly, Grandma May. Is

there another reason he’s pursuing me?”

“Hayden… You should ask Kev. This is a matter between you two. I’m old, dim-sighted, and have poor

listening. I even have to walk with a cane, so I don’t have the energy to care about the affairs of young

people like you.”

After saying that, Grandma May shoved the phone back to Serenity rather guiltily and whispered to her,

“Seren, that’s your sister-in-law. You deal with her.”

Serenity was speechless.

She pretended not to know anything and said to Hayden, “Mr. Hayden, if there’s nothing else, I’ll be

hanging up first. I’m out with the kids.”

“Sorry for disturbing you, Mrs. York.”

Hayden sensibly ended the call.

She understood that Kevin had hidden something from her and that nobody would tell her even if she

persisted in asking about it.

If she wanted to find out, she could only ask Kevin.

Hayden put down her phone and pondered for a long time. At last, she resisted the urge to call and ask

Kevin right away.

Since he did not tell her, it meant that he did not want to, so it would be useless for her to ask him

about it. Kevin talked a lot, but if he were determined not to talk about something, it would be

impossible to get it out of him.

Kevin did not know Hayden called someone to complain about him again.

His pursuit of Hayden was making her angry yet helpless.

After leaving Queen Enterprise, Kevin first called and arranged for someone to spread the news of Mrs.

Stone from Wiltspoon being a Fisher to some people from the Fishers. Afterward, he prepared some

generous gifts and went straight to the Queens.

Mr. and Mrs. Queen originally liked Kevin very much, and he could feel it. They only became much

colder to him after Hayden said that Kevin’s grandmother had chosen a fiancée for him.

A smart person could easily understand why.

Kevin decided to take the path of pleasing his future parents-in-law.

He would please Mr. and Mrs. Queen and let his future father-in-law put in some good words for him to

Hayden.

While continuing to court Hayden passionately, Kevin would also delight his future parents-in-law. By

working in parallel, he believed that he could get his wife.

With that, Kevin drove to the Queens.

Donald was about to head out. He was bored at home and wanted to go out to chat with his friends. As

for Sophia, she had long asked her friends out.

Seeing that Kevin came, Donald found a company. He turned around to drive back to the manor, and

he said to Kevin, “Kev, you came just in time. Let’s go fishing.”
