Chapter 1962

“Mom, my head hurts a little, and I also twisted my foot.”

Celine said pitifully, “Mom, I fell because I accidentally bumped into Mr. Kevin. It has nothing to do with

Caroline, so you and Emma shouldn’t blame her anymore.”

She looked at Kevin again and blamed him resentfully, “Mr. Kevin, why did you trip me? I know you like

Mr. Hayden too and are openly pursuing him, so we’re love rivals, but you can’t treat me like this.”

Madam Fisher frowned and asked her daughter, “It was Mr. Kevin who tripped you?”

Kevin shouted, “Ms. Celine, you can spew what you eat, but don’t talk nonsense. It was you who tried

to trip me but didn’t have enough strength, so you made me jump, but I didn’t fall. Instead, you lost your

footing and fell. You reap what you sow—you deserve it!”

One could not distort the truth in front of Kevin.

He alone could have heated disputes against ten-plus love rivals and would still remain undefeated.

There was no way Celine could blame him.

Kevin also did not allow the Fishers to refute. He looked up and pointed at the surveillance camera

installed on the ceiling and said, “There’s surveillance everywhere. If you insist that I tripped you, Ms.

Celine, why don’t we ask Mr. Hayden to get the surveillance footage? Let everyone see if you wanted

to embarrass me or if I wanted to hurt you.”

Jensburg Hotel was owned by Queen Enterprise, and Hayden was also the head of the Queens, so

she had the authority to ask for the surveillance footage.

Celine cunningly argued, “I didn’t want to trip you, Mr. Kevin. I only accidentally bumped into you.”

“Are you saying that I can’t be blamed for this?”

Celine was speechless.

After hearing so much, Madam Fisher understood everything.

She suppressed her anger and gently said to Kevin, “Mr. Kevin, I’m sorry, my daughter wronged you.

I’m truly sorry.”

Following that, she sternly said to Celine, “Aren’t you going to apologize to Mr. Kevin?”novelbin

Celine was deeply humiliated, but she still had to bow her head and apologize to Kevin.

“Sorry for the joke. It was my little daughter who misunderstood Mr. Kevin. It’s fine now. Everyone, you

should go dance and not let my daughter’s small incident affect your mood.”

Madam Fisher apologized and nodded apologetically at Hayden and Kevin. She then pulled Celine out

of the crowd.

She pulled Celine out of the hotel and walked to a quiet corner before letting go of her.

With her back against Celine, she looked into the distance. Nobody knew what she was thinking.

Celine looked at her carefully and did not dare to speak.

“Everyone attending the banquet tonight is a big shot and can’t be easily offended. Why did you stretch

your leg out to Mr. Kevin? He’s not from Jensburg, but the Yorks also have business and connections

here.

“The Yorks aren’t to be messed with. Not to mention how outstanding Mr. Kevin’s brothers are, just the

fact that Old Mrs. York—the stabilizing force—is alive means that no one dares to target or lay hands

on the Yorks. How dare you use that kind of petty trick against Mr. Kevin?”

Madam Fisher turned around and glared at her adopted daughter. She looked serious and had a stern

voice. Her eyes were also filled with disappointment for her adopted daughter.

She was told a year ago that the successor she had raised with all her heart was not her biological

daughter.

Even though Madam Fisher had disposed of Celine’s biological father, she did nothing to Celine and

kept her in the family. She also did not ask Celine to change her last name.

After all, Celine was the daughter she had been raising for twenty-eight years.

However, after seeing what Celine did, Madam Fisher felt that her daughter who did not have the

Fisher bloodline was starting to do unpresentable things. Celine was also oblivious to situations and

would easily offend people.
