Chapter 1883

“Aunt Ser.”

Sonny felt sour watching.

He sensed that Aunt Ser was taken away by Laurence.

Feeling a sharp pang of jealousy, Sonny could not help but also dive into Aunt Ser’s arms.

Serenity smiled and hugged her nephew. She then let go of the two little ones and followed along,

holding one in each hand saying, “We've played outside long enough, let’s go back inside.”

Zachary held Sonny’s other hand.

The couple and the two children were like a family of four.

Back in the main house, Serenity told Jane that Laurence had taken a tumble.

Jane hurriedly pulled her foster son over, intending to check him over in public. She remembered

something and did not lift Laurence’s clothes. Instead, she held his shoulders and asked him with

concern, “Did it hurt?”

“It hurt, but it doesn’t hurt anymore after Aunt Ser hugged me.”

The little one answered. After thinking about it, he added, “Aunt Ser has the same mommy scent as

you, Mommy Jane. I really like Aunt Ser.”

Jane laughed. “You like each and every one you meet.”

Laurence liked a lot of people, including his two mothers, Iris and Suzy, as well as others.

Actually, he just liked those who were genuinely kind to him. Although he was still young, his heart was

like a clear mirror. He knew very well who was sincere and who was fake to him.

But he did not say it out loud.

Dr. Carden said that some things were better kept to himself and did not need to be spoken.

Laurence felt a little bit embarrassed that he got made fun of by his mother. However, he hid his

embarrassment and wrapped his little arms around Jane’s neck. He snuggled cutely in his mother’s

arms and said sweetly, “I love Mommy Jane the most.”

Before Jane could say anything, Laurence heard the maid respectfully call out for Mr. Young-Johnson.

As soon as he heard that, he wriggled out of his mother’s bosom.

He grabbed Sonny by the hand and said, “Let’s go see Connor and Chloe.”

Uncle Ben hated the sight of Laurence acting cute in front of Jane, more than anything else.

Laurence was quite afraid of Uncle Ben.

In reality, Uncle Ben treated him well, but he was a bit too stern. He always had a rigid expression,

making Laurence think he did something to anger Uncle Ben.

Laurence led Sonny to the crib to watch Connor and Chloe.

The two infants fell into a deep slumber after they had their meal.

They were only two months old, their lives only consisted of eating and sleeping.

Grandma May was also there. The old lady adored Chloe the most.

If it were not for the only granddaughter of the Johnson family, Grandma May would have adopted

someone else’s granddaughter as her own.

Just as Ben was back from handling some business matters, he heard that Grandma May and the York

couple had come to visit.novelbin

As he entered the house, he was met with the sight of a lively house full of people. However, his line of

sight was soon drawn to his beloved wife. A slight smile spread across his charming face.

“Old Mrs. York.”

Ben greeted Grandma May.

She reluctantly averted her eyes from Chloe to greet Ben. She looked at Ben with compassionate eyes

and greeted Ben with a gentle smile and nod.
