Chapter 1877

Grandma May stopped talking, and Old Mrs. Johnson quickly understood.

Old Mrs. Johnson had a grave look on her face.

There was no relationship between the Johnsons and Stones at the moment, but they would become

in-laws if Remy married Elisa. Mrs. Stone’s surname was Fisher, which was a rare surname. It would

be hard for people not to associate her with the Fishers of Jensburg.novelbin

The Fishers experienced a bloodbath decades ago. Although not in the same city, the big families were

still concerned.

Old Mrs. Johnson thought that if Mrs. Stone was the daughter of the Fishers’ previous family head, and

if she found out about her background and wanted to avenge her family, the Johnsons would have to

help her.

She looked at Grandma May. The old ladies looked at each other and sighed.

Grandma May said, “If the day really comes, the Yorks won’t be able to stand by and do nothing either.”

Mrs. Stone’s sister was Serenity’s mother.

If she wanted to take revenge and snatch back the family headship of the Fishers, the Yorks would

definitely help her. In fact, Zachary would act as the main force because he would be venting for his

mother-in-law.

Jane and Serenity did not know what the two old ladies were talking about inside but could more or

less take a guess. When the elders gathered, they would either talk about the past or about their

children and grandchildren.

Jane held Sonny and asked Serenity as she walked, “Is Sonny in kindergarten yet?”

“He has been enrolled, but classes only start on September 1st. I’m bringing him on vacation as

summer break is coming to an end. When kindergarten starts, he won’t have much time to play.”

Sonny still had self-defense training.

He learned self-defense from his instructor during the weekends.

Of the two months of summer break, Sonny had only gone on break this half month.

“Sonny is very smart. Your sister taught him very well. He’s about the same age as that adopted son of

mine. Laurence has followed his teacher to the hospital to watch over his teacher. You and Grandma

May should stay here for a few more days and have a good time. When Laurence comes back, Sonny

will have a friend to play with.

“They’re both similar in age, so they’ll definitely get along.”

Serenity had also heard that Jane and her husband found a child and took him in as their adopted son.

They initially raised him by their side, but he was instantly scouted by Dr. Carden to be her student due

to his good qualifications. After Dr. Carden got pregnant, the legendary doctor took him under his wing

and often passed on his knowledge to him.

“Then I’ll be thick-faced and stay in your house for a few more days. As long as you don’t think we’re

annoying.”

Jane said to her, “What are you talking about? You’re showing me face by staying in my house for a

few more days. Make yourselves at home, please. We don’t see each other much, but we’re friends.”

“Laurence is in kindergarten, right?”

“Yes, and he’s very naughty.”

Jane became talkative again when it came to her adopted son.

It was evident that she truly saw her adopted son as her own and did not neglect him just because he

had her own children now.

“When will Dr. Carden be discharged from the hospital?”

Serenity asked with concern, “I want to visit her and her baby in the hospital later. Is that okay?”

Jane grinned. “Of course, I’ll go with you later. Lilian went through natural labor and can be discharged

soon. It was Tim who asked her to stay in the hospital for a few more days. Tim heard that some

people still bleed heavily even a few days after giving birth. He was worried, so he insisted that Lilian

stayed in the hospital for a few more days.

Serenity also smiled.

The men of the Johnsons were also known for doting on their wives.
