Chapter 1836

Snowball had not seen its master for a long time, so it missed Zachary and wanted to be closer to him.

“Mr. Zachary, breakfast is ready.”

Zachary did not speak and walked toward the dining table. He went over and saw that the breakfast

prepared for him by the chef was his usual favorite, but an important person was missing at the dining

table, which made him very uncomfortable. Thus, he had no appetite.

He sat down and stopped eating after taking two bites.

Zachary then got up and went outside.

Sam glanced at the dining table, followed Zachary, and asked with concern as he walked.

“Mr. Zachary, do you have a bad appetite? Or was the food prepared not cooked well?”

“My wife is not at home.”

Sam was speechless.

Serenity went on a long vacation with Old Mrs. York and would not be back for a while. Was Zachary

planning to go on a hunger strike the whole time?

“Mr. Zachary, where are you going?”

Zachary did not answer.

A few minutes later, Zachary drove out alone and did not let the bodyguards follow him. However, Samnovelbin

still asked Jim and another bodyguard to drive a separate car and follow Zachary covertly.

Jim was slowly tailing Zachary’s car and said to his colleague in the passenger seat, “We need to be

more alert lately and not make mistakes. We also shouldn’t show ourselves in front of Mr. Zachary

unnecessarily.”

The colleague said, “Whoever hangs around in front of Mr. Zachary is seeking death. We don’t have to

worry when the missus is home because she can handle our boss easily even when the sky is falling.

Now that the missus isn’t at home, I just wish I can be invisible and get out of the boss’s way.

“Mr. Zachary is so used to being accompanied by the missus. Old Mrs. York just took the missus on a

long vacation without telling the boss, so he has nowhere to vent his anger.

“I wonder where Mr. Zachary is going.”

Jim said, “He’s probably going to complain to Ms. Liberty.”

The colleague was speechless.

Zachary did not go to complain, but he did go to Liberty’s restaurant.

Liberty happened to be at All You Can Eat when she saw her brother-in-law walk in. She asked him

with a smile, “How are you so free to come over?”

“Liberty, I don’t work on Saturday, so I came to see if you need my help here.”

“Oh, it’s Saturday. Time flies! I don’t need any help here.”

Liberty seldom cooked breakfast for the customers and left it in the hands of the two small

shareholders.

There were only a few customers in the diner at this time since it was past breakfast time.

Zachary sat down in front of a clean table and said, “Can I have a bowl of chicken noodle soup? I

haven’t had breakfast yet, so I’m starving.”

“Sure.”

Liberty immediately went to prepare it for him. She did not ask him why he did not eat until now.

After Liberty cooked the chicken soup, Zachary took a bite and put down his spoon.

“Does it taste bad?”

“Liberty, I can’t eat because I miss Seren.” Zachary did not complain. He was just acting miserable so

that his sister-in-law could bear witness to how he had no appetite when his wife was not at home.

Serenity brought Sonny on a vacation. Sonny was only three years old and was still very clingy to his

mother, so he would contact Liberty sooner or later. As long as Zachary let his sister-in-law see how

miserable he was, she would urge Serenity to come back quickly when Serenity called.

When that heartless girl came home, Zachary planned to “punish” her, so much so that she would not

be able to get out of bed for three days!
