Chapter 1777

Chapter 1777

After giving Mr. Brown a piece of her mind, Mrs. Brown tearfully said to Liberty, “Liberty, bring Sonny

here.

Hank adores the child.

That’s his only child.

Hank might pull through with Sonny here, knowing that his son misses him.” Liberty offered Mrs. Brown

some words of comfort.

“Seren and Elisa went to the farmer’s market today.

Sonny must have gone back with her to my hometown.

I'll call Seren and ask when they will be back.” 1 Liberty did not say no to her ex-mother-in-law’s

request.

It did not matter whether Hank made it or not.

Sonny was Hank’s son, so the boy should be here in the hospital for Hank.

1 Despite the couple’s divorce, Liberty had never once spoken ill of Hank in the presence of her son or

taught her son to hate Hank.

No matter what, Hank did cover Sonny’s child support.

Mrs. Brown nodded her head in tears.

She had a bad feeling that her son might not pull through.

Nevertheless, Mrs. Brown continued to pray for her son’s safety.

Liberty went to a corner and gave her sister a call.

It did not take long for Serenity to pick up the call.

She asked through the phone, “What's up, Liberty?” Serenity was worried something might have

happened due to the timing of the call.

Her sister should be taking care of the softie with a tough exterior in the hospital at this time.

“Ts Sonny with you?” “Elisa and I went back to our hometown.

I didn’t bring Sonny along since the journey is long.

Sonny is with Zachary in his office.” “Oh, got it.

Pll give Zachary a call then.” “Does Mr. Lewis want to see Sonny, Liberty?” Serenity was under thenovelbin

impression that Duncan missed the little man.

Sonny would go with his mother to the hospital to visit Duncan once every few days.

Duncan would harden his heart against the adults, but he could never give Sonny an attitude.

Duncan would feel bad and say yes to anything every time Sonny turned on the waterworks.

Liberty fell silent for a bit before uttering, “Seren, something bad happened to Hank and his sister.

For some reason, Jessica stabbed Hank and Chelsea.

Chelsea isn’t badly wounded, and her condition is stable, but Hank is still in surgery in the emergency

room.

It has been hours.

“Things may not look good for him.

His parents are worried that he might not make it and pleaded with me to bring Sonny to the hospital.

At least Sonny can say goodbye if Hank doesn’t pull through.” Dumbstruck, Serenity ensued with

another question.

“Is that true, Liberty? Jessica wielded a knife, but Chelsea wasn’t the main target!? Hank was so good

to her.

Did Hank go back to his old ways and abuse her?” Liberty also swung the knife at Hank when the latter

handled Liberty violently.

Nevertheless, Hank ran away, and Liberty did not harm Hank physically.

+ It was likely that, like Liberty, Jessica retaliated with a knife.

“T’m unsure of the details, but Chelsea was stabbed when trying to save her brother.

It meant Jessica was trying to kill Hank.

For Hank to be overpowered, he was either slow to react or in bed sleeping for Jessica to assault him.”

While Hank and Liberty were still married, Liberty stood up against Hank’s abuse and threatened Hank

that she would slice him up if he ever laid another finger on her.

Hank was better off sleeping with one eye open or never coming home.

The warning intimidated Hank, and the couple had a falling out since then.

The violence did not continue thereafter.

Serenity believed Hank deserved what had happened to him, but she did not make her feelings known

for the sake of her nephew.

Serenity said, “I'll call Zachary now to drive Sonny to the hospital.” “Okay,” Liberty answered.

Knowing that her sister was busy, Liberty quickly ended the call.

By the time Liberty returned to where her ex-parents-in-law were, the door of the emergency room

finally opened.
