Chapter 1776

Chapter 1776

Liberty could not find the words of comfort to offer.

All she could do was help Mrs. Brown to sit on a chair.

Liberty pulled out her pack of tissue and gave one to Mrs. Brown to wipe away her tears.

Mr. Brown was teary-eyed too.

He would turn away from time to time to dry his eyes.

Hank was their only son.

Mr. and Mrs. Brown did not know what to do if anything were to happen to him.

It took a while before Mrs. Brown ceased the wailing.

Nevertheless, she was too emotional to speak.

Liberty turned to Mr. Brown and asked with concern, “How is Hank, Mr. Brown?” Mr. Brown choked with

sobs.

“He’s still in surgery.

The doctors have not left the emergency room.

I only saw other doctors going inside with bags and bags of blood.

He lost a lot of blood...” The thought of his son’s dire condition brought tears to Mr. Brown's eyes once

more.

Mr. Brown could not believe that Jessica would stab his son repeatedly.

If they had not heard the commotion in Hank’s bedroom and entered the room with a spare key, their

son could be dead by now.

Jessica stabbed their daughter when Chelsea tried to save Hank.

That woman was so cruel! To think Hank was so good to her.

Jessica squatted for a long time in the bathroom, and her legs gave out in numbness when she camenovelbin

out.

Hank did not blame Jessica when she fell and lost her baby.

In fact, Hank came to her defense and refused to divorce her regardless of what anybody had to say.

How could she do this to him? Mr. Brown was baffled.

He shared the same thoughts as Liberty, believing that Jessica would be after her parents-in-law and

sister-in-law if she was out for blood.

Why did Jessica try to murder Hank instead? Hank was a man.

How did Jessica overcome his bigger physique? The tragedy struck when the couple was resting in

their bedroom.

No one knew how the fight started, and how the violence escalated.

Mr. Brown was relieved that his wife’s bad habits died hard.

Mrs. Brown secretly copied a key to their son’s bedroom, claiming that it was a spare key.

The truth was Mrs. Brown wanted easy access to their son’s bedroom to check on their daughter-in-

law’s spending habits.

Mrs. Brown did the same when Liberty was their daughter-in-law too.

“Liberty...” Finally finding her voice, Mrs. Brown took Liberty’s hands and cried, “What if Hank....

What do we do? What are we going to do?” Liberty soothed her, “Mrs. Brown, the doctors haven’t given

up on Hank.

He still has a fighting chance.

Don’t worry too much.” “Where's Sonny, Liberty? Bring Sonny here in case...

At least Sonny can be here for his father’s last moment,” Mr. Brown said.

His wife spat and hit Mr. Brown.

Mrs. Brown criticized, “What are you saying? Hank won’t die. Liberty is right.

The doctors have not given up on Hank. He can be saved.

Hank won't die. He won't! He's only in his early thirties.

He’s young. It’s not his time yet!”
