Chapter 1749

Chapter 1749

Dalton responded to Callum, “Invite me again when you actually have a wedding planned.” As he was

talking, Dalton opened the car door for Camryn.

After she got in, he got back in the car immediately as he was unwilling to spend another second

arguing with a rascal like Callum.

Dalton quickly drove away from York Corporation with Camryn in tow.

Callum watched as the car disappeared into the distance.

He did not go back until it was out of sight.

The security guards on duty were all looking at him.

“That’s my future brother-in-law.” Callum could tell what they were thinking.

To prevent rumors that his fiancée ran off with some other man from spreading, he jokingly explained

the situation to the guards.

Although Dalton was not Camryn’s biological brother, the two treated each other as siblings.

As Camryn regarded Dalton as her elder brother, he was naturally Callum’s brother-in-law.

The security guards chuckled sheepishly.

They overheard how the COO had addressed Mr. Mitchell.

They noticed that he did not share the same surname as the COO’s bride -to-be.

There was no way that they were actual siblings.

Perhaps he was just a brotherly figure to her.

Those men believed that no one would dare compete with their COO for a woman.

As long as they did not spread rumors that his fiancée was taken away, Callum did not care about what

the others thought about this situation.

When he returned to his office and saw that Kevin was still in there, he asked, “Still here?” “Yes, I’m still

here.

Alive.” Callum replied with a chuckle, “I thought you’d left to meet with Zack.” As he returned to his

desk, Callum picked up the bouquet of flowers and said, “The flowers from Spring Blossoms look

leagues better than the flowers from other florists.

No wonder the business there is getting better.” “That’s because they know your feelings toward Ms.

Newman.

They intentionally buy from the Spring Blossoms in hopes of pleasing you or establishing a good

relationship with your future wife.” As it was located in the center of a bustling city, business in Spring

Blossoms was already decent.

On normal days, it was busier than most florists.

On festive seasons, however, especially on Valentine’s Day, business was booming.

It was busy enough to make the staff and the store manager run around in circles; even receiving

money from customers had become tiring.

With the backing of someone of Callum’s social standing, business was better than ever.

Not to mention, Camryn garnered the attention of the public.

Everyone wanted to know how a blind girl convinced Dalton to aid her in taking over the Newman

Enterprise.

Why did she put her trust in Dalton? However, only Callum and Serenity knew the answer, as Camryn

never told anyone else.

She thought that it was unnecessary to announce it to the public, as it was a personal matter of hers.

As for the matter of people’s criticism and accusations of her being a backstabber, Camryn did not

clarify nor try to defend herself.

Instead, it was Callum who lashed out at those people.

After being met with Callum’s fury, nobody dared call Camryna backstabber in front of her ever again.

Not even Mrs. Joyner and Mrs. Chandler had the guts to criticize Camryn.novelbin

The two of them felt nothing but hatred and jealousy toward their niece, Camryn.

They despised the fact that she had taken over the company in the shadows, like a wolf in sheep’s

clothing.

Not to mention that Camryn also fired her cousins, which lessened their hold on the company.

How could they not resent Camryn if she was the reason their plans to monopolize the assets of the

Newmans failed? They were jealous of how a blind girl could win the heart of Callum; jealous of how

Callum’s mother did not seem to mind that Camryn was blind.

Oh, how the rich ladies envy Camryn.

“Tt’s not like I’m asking them to intentionally boost Camryn’s business.

They better not think that I’m going to owe them favors.” Callum put down the bouquet of flowers after

he was done admiring them.

He opened up one of the two snack boxes and picked one piece of pastry out to eat.

“These pastries aren’t excessively sweet, just the way I like them.

Your sister-in-law really understands my preferences.”
