Carl Russo bowed his head lower and replied, "Please don't put it that way. I've heard rumors that Mr.
Turner had decided to spare Nathan Cross' life, but Shannon insisted on killing him. As such, Mr.
Turner had ordered Franklin Wilson to execute my daughter as a punishment for her. The purpose of
my visit today is just to find out whether those rumors are true.”
"What if the rumors were true then? And I was the one who asked Franklin Wilson to end your
daughter's life. What would you do?" Dip Turner asked.
Carl Russo fell on his knees at once and said, "My daughter had gone against Mr. Turner's wishes, and
for that, she had gotten what she deserved. I have no objections."
Seeing that Carl Russo was willing to humble himself in such a manner despite his daughter's passing,
Dip Turner eased up and said, "I did agree to spare Nathan Cross' life, but I didn't say that Shannon
was not allowed to seek revenge on him. I had no intentions of punishing Shannon, and it wasn't me
who ordered Franklin
Wilson to execute her. But I can't be sure if the Major-General did that on his own accord to please
me."
After hearing Dip Turner's account, Carl Russo lifted his head and replied, "That's what I thought too. If
Mr. Turner wanted to punish my daughter, all you had to do was to instruct me to do it. There was no
need for Franklin Wilson to be involved at all."

successfully developed without much effort."

His guess was that Mr. Turner was also interested in the distribution rights of the vaccine, as it was a
lucrative business.
Understanding Dip Turner's intentions, Carl Russo immediately replied, "Yeah, I've also heard that
Penny Smith is a stunning beauty, but also a flirtatious and loose woman. She must have seduced
Professor Jenson with her good looks in order to secure the rights to the vaccine so soon. Mr. Turner,
after getting rid of Nathan Cross, I'll seize the distribution rights and give you an equal share of any

and said, "Even though you are my protege, I can't just reap the rewards without having any
contribution. I have a suggestion. You can deal with Nathan Cross and avenge your children in any way
you want and I won't interfere with it. As for Penny Smith and the agency's rights to the vaccine, we can
leave it to Joseph Queen. That guy sure has a way with women."
Right after Dip Turner finished talking, a slim-built man with dashing good looks strolled into the study
gracefully. He was Joseph Queen, who Dip Turner had just mentioned.
Joseph was Dip Turner's godson. He was incredibly attractive and was a smooth talker. In fact, his forte

at Carl Russo. "Mr. Russo, you can focus on dealing with Nathan Cross and I'll handle Penny Smith. I
guarantee that she'll be so smitten with me that she won't be able to think about anything else other
than being pinned under me. Naturally, I will be able to make her hand over the rights to the vaccine
willingly," the man said.
Dip Turner laughed heartily and said, "Joseph and Carl, I shall wait for the good news from both of you
then. Don't you let me down?"
