After catching up for a while, Hansel left with his wife.
He had come to the hospital to pay Nathan a visit to achieve three things. First and foremost, he wanted to update Nathan that the membersdisapproved of him joining the cabinet. Next, he hoped to get Nathan to support Zion in the upcoming presidential election. Last not but not least, hewanted to visit Penny.
As soon as Hansel left, Nathan returned to the ward to take care of Penny alongside Kylie.
In a soft voice, Penny said, “The First Lady informed me just now that Mr. Davier and other members have rejected the president's proposal to haveyou join the cabinet.”
With a faint smile on his face, Nathan answered,“It's for the better. I'm more suited to be on the battlefield than dealing with dirty politics.”
Penny asked under her breath, “The First Lady also told me that you shot Kiel dead as well as what happened in today's cabinet meeting. Was thefailure attributed to me?
The question upset Nathan. “What nonsense! What's that got to do with you?
“Don't you worry about anything else; just focus on your health. The only thing that you need to know is that I'll never let anyone who hurts my wife offthe hook, regardless of the person's status.”
