Gazing at him impassively, Hansel asked coldly, “Are you surprised?”

.” Boris was at a loss for wordsIt was more than surprising; Hansel's appearance had shocked him to the core.

From what he heard, Hansel was paralyzed after the stroke. It is an incurable condition even for doctors with the most top-notch medical skills. Howhas he suddenly recovered?

Looking at Hansel's formidable figure, a sudden thought struck him. Could it be that President Windsor was pretending to be sick all the while?A chill ran down his spine at the thought of it.

Terror filled his eyes when he looked at Hansel and then at Nathan, who looked rather composed. His heart sank in despair.

Yet, Hansel did not bother to speak to him anymore.

Camilla pushed her husband toward the head seat, the seat where the President usually sat during a Cabinet meeting

Hansel gestured for her to stop when they approached Nathan's seat.

Then, he slowly got up from the wheelchair.

Camilla and the national guards approached him to help him up, but he stopped them from doing so.

Nathan was seated at the far end of the conference table.

Seeing Hansel coming up to him, he immediately stood bolt upright, saluting him. “President Windsor!” he greeted, his voice loud and clear.Hansel returned his salute.

Then, he held Nathan's hand while expressing his gratitude, “Nathan, I'd like to thank you for all that you've done. You've only taken a leave oncethroughout the past five years, sacrificing much of your time for the country.”

Nathan spoke up, “President Windsor, it is my duty to serve the country and its people.Hansel nodded before slowly making his way toward the head seat, with Camilla and the head of the National Guard following behind him.

Casting his eyes over the whole lot. he uttered, “Thank you for taking up the extra burden during the period that I was sick, keeping the governmentrunning

Clifford and the others still hadn't recovered from their shock. Hearing that, they quickly answered, “President Windsor, don't mention it. It was merelyour duties to do as such.”

Hansel went on. “I'm sick, but I'm not dead yet. I am well aware of the ones who are diligent, and the ones who take your job as a sinecure.” Hepaused for a while before he continued, “I am also aware of the ones among you who are

They realized that the President was not only angry about the crimes Boris committed, rather he was also upset at them for aiding and abetting Borisin getting rid of Nathan.

His words were targeted at Boris but they also served as a warning to the rest of them.

Hansel took in the anxiety on their faces. Then, he stated calmly, “It has been a while; I was absent from many of the Cabinet meetings. I supposethat there are a lot of documents waiting in line for me to review. Come, bring me the documents!”

The cabinet members exchanged several glances.Boris secretly exchanged a stare with Clifford, throwing him a signal to do somethingYet, Clifford had cast his eyes downward and pretended not to have noticed it.
