Chapter 1631

Nathan figured out that the showdown between Cheryl and Hagen that night was more of a contestof power between the bureaucrats of Brimmopolis than a personal fight.

Soon, Cheryl, Nathan and Kylie arrived at Tiger Park.

The moment they stepped foot in the park, several waiters came up to them, accompanied by manyyoung men and women dressed up in flamboyant gowns. “Greetings, Ms. Stewart!” They said inunison.

At first sight, Nathan and Kylie could tell that Cheryl was the leader of the gang of bureaucratsstanding before her.

With the crowd's focus on Cheryl, no one really noticed Nathan's presence.

Though Nathan was a highly respected General, he rarely visited Brimmopolis and spent most ofhis time in the North.

Even if he were in Brimmopolis, he would most likely be with the President, the members of theCabinet, or military commanders, rather than the likes of Cheryl and her friends.

Moreover, Nathan made few public appearances, and he would be wearing his military uniformwhen he appeared on TV or in the news.

Hence, it was quite unlikely for the bureaucrats to recognize Nathan in casual clothes.

Nathan was happy to be left alone, as he disliked exchanging social pleasantries.

Cheryl knew that Nathan was not fond of socializing too much and did not introduce him to the otherbureaucrats.

“Where is Mr. Hagen? Has he arrived?” She asked those around her.

Speaking of the devil, numerous luxury cars began surging into the car park as soon as Cheryluttered those words.

At the very front of the team of cars, there came a limited edition Ferrari.

A young man emerged from it, accompanied by his graceful female partner, who was holding on tohis arms intimately. This tall, skinny man with a pompous look plastered on his face was the highlypopular bureaucrats of Brimmopolis at the moment, Hagen Tucker.

Stroking his female companion suggestively, he walked into the venue with his gang followingbehind, exuding a feisty aura.

Upon seeing Cheryl, Hagen smirked and said,

“Hah... Ms. Stewart! You're here so early! You just can't wait to lose all your money to me, can you?Or are you really excited to see me?”

Cheryl glared at Hagen with her icy-cold eyes. Before Hagen could come up to her, she snapped,“Hagen, your mouth stinks. Don't come near me.

Hagen's smile turned stiff.

“Cheryl, a piece of advice for you. Don't you dare cross me; you'll regret it,” he said, gritting histeeth.

Cheryl chuckled, “Hah... You guys are the ones who will be wallowing in regret tonight.

Warhound shall defeat Ghoul. Prepare to lose all your money, losers!”

Hagen was not backing down. “Don't you worry. Even if you lose everything, I'll help you out, as aform of charity. How about you come and sleep with me in my room tonight?”

Rolling her eyes, Cheryl snarled, “Say what you want now. Oh, I can't wait to see your expressionwhen you lose the bet!”novelbin

“Same to you,” Hagen replied.

Eventually, the owner of Tiger Park appeared and greeted the pair who were quarreling. “Ms.

Stewart. Mr. Hagen. The boxing ring is ready. The spectators of the night have entered the arena, and your respective boxers are also ready for battle,” he said.

Cheryl turned to Nathan and said, “Come on.

Lets go in.

Nathan smiled. “Alright. Ladies first.”

Meanwhile, Hagen was still ogling at Cheryl. He squinted his eyes as he looked up and down, examining every corner of her curvy body. Hmph. You whore. Be as arrogant as you want now, butsooner or later, you'll be on my bed moaning under me.
