Nathan remained dispassionate as he heard those words, but Kylie completely lost her calm.
Upon seeing Kylie's face redden in rage, Mavis quickly interjected and said, “Hah... Mr. Hayes, mostof us are just average compared to you. I mean... Mr. Hayes, you're much richer and moresuccessful than us. Oh, you must share some of your classy cigarettes and wine with us oldclassmates!”
Milton was extremely pleased to hearthose words. “Hah... Of course.”
As he basked in his whimsical glory, he smiled pompously at Nathan and said, “Nathan, oh, Nathan.I don't like to be too critical of others but look at you. What kind of trash are you even smoking? Doyou really think that you deserve Kylie? Let me give you a word of advice. Just stay away from heras you're unworthy.”
Nathan pursed his lips. Smoking his Commander-exclusive Cigarettes, he said, “So who'sdeserving of her?”

Milton pointed at himself without hesitation and declared, “Me!”

After making those jarring statements, he came up closer to Kylie and said tenderly, “Kylie, I'vebeen in love with you since our college days. For the past few years, you've always taken up anirreplaceable spot in my heart. Fate has brought us together once more. I know that you are the onefor me. Oh, Kylie, you should break up with him. The team seemed to consist of the top fighters from various countries. They looked hostile andvicious.
Milton almost fell to his knees upon seeing the buff, ape-like leader of the team. Even his lips weretrembling in fear. “Thaddeus!” he spluttered.
As it turned out, the man who looked like a black ape was the leader of The Cross Gang, Thaddeus.
He had taken his team to track down Nathan for injuring his subordinate, Levi.
Striding in with a malicious smile on his face, he took a quick glance across the room and growledat Milton, “You little brat. What were you saying?
Though Milton had a strong financial background, he knew that the thugs standing before him wouldbeat him up all the same if he made the wrong move.
His legs had turned into jelly the moment he saw them come in.
Upon being interrogated byThaddeus himself, Milton felt as if he was about to faint. “M-Mr.
Thaddeus, I didn't know that it was you. I've talked rubbish without thinking. I'm so sorry. Please...please spare me just this once!” he pleaded.
Thaddeus raised an eyebrow, then replied, “Kneel before me. And smack yourself a hundred timeson your face!”
“Yes, yes, I will do it! I will do it now!”
Milton collapsed onto the ground and began hitting his own cheeks with considerable force. Smack!Smack! Smack!
The piercing sounds of the slapping were all that could be heard in the private room, which hadturned dead silent. Everyone was sneaking uneasy looks at Thaddeus.
After giving Milton his punishment, Thaddeus shifted his focus to the others in the room. “So, whichone of you is Nathan Cross? Come out!” he commanded.
Many people in the crowd, including Mavis, turned their heads to stare at Nathan.
