Santiago was wondering what took Phoebe so long when someone kicked the door to his privateroom open.
The sudden sound startled him and his men.
Colin and the Elite Eight appeared before them.
After they entered the room, they stepped aside automatically.
Behind them, Nathan strode in coolly.
Santiago jolted up in fright upon seeing Nathan.
As their gazes met, animosity filled the air.
Santiago's men realized Nathan was an enemy.
They formed a protective circle around Santiago and glared at Nathan menacingly.
One of Santiago's loyal lackeys by the name of Oluf stepped out eagerly. He yelled at them. “Whoare you to enter without permission?”
Nathan's icy gaze landed on Oluf.
The moment Nathan gazed at Oluf, Colin took action.
In the blink of an eye, Colin appeared in front of Oluf. Before he could react, Colin had alreadygrabbed him by his neck.

Colin's hold was so strong it felt like a vice plier. Oluf was out of breath as Colin lifted him off theground. He started struggling to free himself to no avail.
Santiago and the others stared at the sight in horror.
Nathan spoke icily, “You're Oluf, the one who set fire to the orphanage?”
That statement made Santiago and his lackeys turn even paler.
Oluf wanted to speak, but Colin had him by his throat.
His face was flushed a crimson red as he stuttered out painfully, “No, it wasn't me..."
“But my sources told me it was you,” Nathan replied nonchalantly.
Colin's grip tightened. Crack! In a single twist, he broke Oluf's neck and threw his lifeless body toSantiago.
This was a deliberate threat and insult!
Utterly livid, Santiago took a deep breath and glared at Nathan. “How dare you barge into myprivate room and kill my subordinate? Do you seriously think your military achievements allow youto disregard the prominent families' past contributions?” he snapped.
“You'll be sent into a hellhole if we want,” he warned.novelbin
Colin pulled out a chair and wiped it clean.
Nathan plopped into the seat and commented, “The past contributions of your ancestors would goto waste seeing how frivolous and reckless you are.
“Where is Phoebe Davier?” he inquired.
Before Santiago could reply, Colin whispered in Nathan's ear. “General, I just received news.
Phoebe escaped in the Davier family's private jet as she had found out about our arrival inadvance.”
Nathan sneered. “Fine. Let her escape for now.”
Santiago belatedly realized Phoebe had slipped away without informing him.
Annoyance surged within his heart while his confidence faded away.
After all, the Lieberman family had been declining in recent years. This time, Santiago took actionagainst Nathan because he wanted to join hands with the Davier family.
As Phoebe had escaped, he didn't think he could deal with Nathan alone.
