Chapter 1220 The Gehenna

The wind was strong, and the night sky was empty.

There was an obvious indication of rain. In the wake of this, the lone passers-by increased theirfootsteps, and the shops closed ahead of the scheduled time.

A funeral team suddenly appeared on Riverside Street. They were all wearing black clothes, playinga dirge, and spreading white papers as they headed to Riverside while carrying a coffin.

Ad interim, in Nathan Cross's house in Riverside.

Penny had just arranged a room for Frida since she would be staying with them.

The latter would become Penny's bodyguard from now on. Due to this job, it was more convenientfor her to live with them. It would be easier to follow and protect the woman.

At first, Benson and Leah thought it was a bit troublesome for their daughter to have a bodyguard. But Penny was now a chairman cum president of a large group, unlike before.

They should always be on their guard to prevent any accidents. Because of this, having abodyguard was necessary for her. Upon this realization, they didn't voice out any opinions regardingthis matter.

Besides, the house Nathan had bought was a two-and-a-half-floor villa. They had eight rooms, so itwouldn't be crowded when Kylie and Frida moved in.

Nathan had just finished teaching his daughter with her homework when his phone rang out of theblue. He walked to the outside balcony to answer the call.

"Master, I have bad news!" Colin Dunne's deep voice sounded.

Nathan frowned. "What's the matter?"

"Master Orcus of the Gehenna is leading the Seven Princes of Hell along with more than twohundred elite subordinates to your house! They're all wearing black attire, playing a dirge andcarrying a coffin!

Judging by their appearance, I think Orcus is trying to seek revenge from you."

Nathan squinted his eyes and coldly said, "Are you kidding me? I've warned the Princes of Hellbefore. Instead of stepping down, they're making things worse? Well, in that case, I shall destroythem! Go get prepared! I'm coming out right away lest they come into the neighborhood and disturbmy family!"

"Right away!" Colin replied firmly.

Nathan ended the call and told his family he was going out before putting on a coat. After that, heleft the house.

Little did he know that his voice was a bit too loud. Frida, who was in the living room, vaguely heardpart of his conversation.

She heard him talk about something about the Gehenna before he left.

Maybe he's going out to meet someone from the Gehenna!

With that, she unhesitatingly informed Penny that she was going out to buy something. Once shewas outside, she secretly followed Nathan.

She was trying to confirm if he was a peerless master. In addition to that, she was also trying tofigure out if he was the one who had saved her in the dark.

If he's going out to meet with Gehenna's people, maybe I can find my answers. She grew evenmore excited upon that thought.

She carefully followed him using the investigation and tracking skills she had learned in the actualcombat zones when she was in the army.novelbin

Unbeknown to her, however, Nathan was already aware of her presence in the dark as soon as heleft the house.

His brows furrowed, but he ignored her.

His main focus was to handle the bastards from Gehenna. He didn't have time to deal with hernonsense.

If she wants to come along, then so be it!

When he arrived at Riverside's gate, Colin and the Elite Eight were already there waiting for him.

"Master!" They greeted in unison, to which Nathan replied with a nod.

The dirge echoed through the street from a distance.

Shortly after, a group of people dressed in black came into view. They were spreading white paperswhile carrying a coffin. The scene seemed even more terrifying at night.

The Gehenna had arrived!
