Chapter 1113 Beg Nathan For Forgiveness

The night had fallen, and the lights were on.

Nathan, Penny, Grace, some executives of Cross Group, and some researchers from HopeResearch Centre were having a meal with Terrell.

Everyone was having fun when the restaurant owner, Ross suddenly barged in and informedanxiously, "Mr. Cross, something terrible happened. The leader of the Holt Family is here."

Ross knew that Nathan and Gerard had a fight and thought that Ben was here to hurt Nathan. Assuch, he was worried sick.

Penny and Grace too were nervous upon hearing that, because they thought that Ben was there tocause trouble.

Nathan and Terrell, on the other hand, remained calm. They exchanged gaze and grinned.

Nathan informed calmly, "He is finally here. Let him in."

Ross couldn't help but suggest, "Mr. Cross, should we call the police now? What if..."

Nathan laughed and replied, "There are no ifs. Also, why are you calling the police for no reason? You'd be wasting police resources. Just let Ben in."

Ross thought, Dang, you are brave. Ben is here to seek vengeance, yet you look as cool as acucumber. I can't deal with the aftermath if anything were to happen to you, you know?

Despite the thought, there was nothing Ross could do. He simply informed the others to let Ben in.

Penny, Grace and the others were surprised to see that things didn't go as they thought it would.novelbin

Ben didn't walk in with a bunch of subordinates. In fact, he only had two people with him.

Moreover, Ben looked uncertain and scared instead of furious.

What the hell? What's going on?

Penny, Grace and the others were perplexed at the sight.

What made them drop their jaw was when Ben and his two subordinates rushed over and knelt infront of Nathan.

Everyone stared in astonishment.

Ben was on his knee and trembling with tears rolling down his cheeks. "Mr. Cross, I was wrong. Ididn't know who you really are. If I had known your true identity, I would never have come to botheryou, even if someone had pointed a gun at my head."

It was true.

If Ben had known that Nathan was actually the General of the North and the mythical God of War,he would not dare to find fault with Nathan even if someone had placed a knife by his throat.

When Ben first learned that Nathan was the General of the North, the former was scared to death.

Acting under Nathan's instruction, Ben had come to kowtow to Nathan and pleaded for hisforgiveness personally.

Ben's words, however, got everyone else curious.

What did he mean when he said that he didn't know who Nathan really was? Does Nathan haveanother identity?

That was when everyone recalled the words of Peter Lindberg when he had dropped by earlier.

It suddenly dawned on them that Nathan's identity as part of the Lindberg family of Brimmopolis wasthe reason why Ben behaved subserviently to Nathan. That explains Ben's terrified reaction.

Nathan stared at Ben coldly and instructed, "Apologize to Terrell, my wife and Professor Hampton!"

Ben didn't dare to object as he did as ordered.

Penny and the others forgave Ben.

After that, Ben turned to Nathan and waited for the latter to speak up.

Nathan replied coolly, "I will let you go this time since my wife and the others forgave you. Scram!"

Ben was relieved and thanked Nathan before he and his two subordinates ran like they were fleeingfrom the battlefield.

Meanwhile, Peter was in a hotel room not too far from the restaurant where Nathan and the otherswere dining.

He was adjusting his suit in front of the mirror as he asked his subordinates, "Any news fromNathan?"

The subordinate had a weird expression on when he replied, "Yes. Ben has just left the restaurantafter seeing Nathan."

Peter asked in amusement, "What's the situation? Did Nathan get beat up badly?

He's about to call me to ask for my help, isn't he?"

The subordinate shook his head and replied softly, "Nathan is fine. Ben went over to get down onhis knees and beg Nathan for his forgiveness.”

What?

Peter was flabbergasted, and he turned to his subordinate, "What did you just say?"

The subordinate lowered his voice, "Peter was there to beg for Nathan's forgiveness. He even saidthat if he knew who Nathan really was, he would never dare to trouble Nathan."

Peter thought about it for a while before he scoffed, "Nathan is truly shameless. Didn't the rascalsay that he doesn't want to be associated with the Lindberg's? I bet he must have used his affiliationwith Lindberg to scare Ben into begging for his forgiveness! Let's go and talk this out with Nathan."
