Chapter 972

After bidding farewell, Blake hurried off.

James picked his phone up to call Thea. He wanted to confirm Quincy’s arrival.

As soon as he raised his phone, Thea called.

He answered the phone.

“Honey, are you coming home today?”

“No. I’m going to Cynthia’s place since my medical book is there. I have to practice the Invincible Body

Siddhi technique.”

“I’ll come to you, then.”

Thea did not say anything more and hung up the phone.

James wanted to ask about Quincy, but Thea had already ended the call. He decided to wait till they

met at Cynthia’s house to ask about it.

He left the company and went straight to Cynthia’s house.

When he arrived, he found Thea chatting with Cynthia.

Thea stood up upon seeing James. She pulled him close and said, “Honey, I’ve decided to train in the

military region for a while.”

James frowned and said, “Didn’t I tell you not to? You won’t be able to endure the training.”

“I can do it,” Thea said with resolution.

“Fine.”

James thought for a while and decided not to stop her. He said, “I’ll be going to the military region

tomorrow morning. We can go together. By the way, when is Quincy coming back?”

Thea looked at the time and replied, “She should arrive before midnight if nothing comes up.”

James sighed in relief.

He could leave to find Blake’s treasures at ease once Quincy returned.

Although Blake had given him hundreds of billions, it was still insufficient to fight against Centennial

Corporation. The people supporting Centennial Corporation were influential forces that had

immeasurable wealth.

“I’ll head back to my room to read.” James did not linger in the living room for long and headed

upstairs.

Thea did not disturb James. She stayed downstairs and chatted with Cynthia about cultivation.

In the blink of an eye, it was midnight.

Quincy and Tiara returned together.

“Quincy, Tiara.” Thea stood up and greeted them welcomingly.

Quincy looked at Thea and did not respond.

Cynthia said, “I’ll go and call James.”

She turned and headed to James’ room.

Quincy and Tiara walked toward the sofa and sat down.

“Thea, you sure are something. You hid so much from everyone,” Quincy said calmly after sitting down.

Thea smiled and said, “I’m just trying to help James. You two will only be a distraction to him. You havenovelbin

no idea how terrifying his enemy is. Also, it was to keep you both safe…”

Soon, James came down the stairs.

Quincy and Tiara stood up simultaneously.

James waved his hand and said, “Let’s talk while seated.”

He walked over and sat down.

James looked at Quincy and said, “I had to bring you back because we’re now in a critical situation…”

He explained the situation with Centennial Corporation to Quincy and told her about Messiah

Corporation’s next steps.

“I need you to be in charge of Messiah, Quincy. We can’t lose this battle.”

Quincy nodded and replied, “Okay. I’ll do my best.”

“Thea.” James turned to Thea.

“I’m listening, Honey.”

James instructed, “No matter what, Quincy is still an ordinary civilian. Her position as Messiah's

chairman may put her at risk. Arrange for some people from the God-King Palace to protect her in

secret. I don’t want anything to happen to her.”

James handed the God-King token back to Thea and said, “Hold on to it for now. I’ll be leaving

tomorrow morning.”

“What can I do for you, James?” Tiara looked at James eagerly.

Tiara was talented and could help him, but she felt left out as he had not assigned her any tasks.

James said, “Just stay at Cynthia’s place. Don’t roam around with everything that’s going on right now.”

“Okay,” Tiara murmured and lowered her head.

James took a deep breath, stood up, and said, “This time, we’re fighting against Centennial

Corporation through legal means, so don’t be afraid of their dirty tricks. The country is on our side, and

all departments will do their utmost to cooperate. Additionally, army forces are on stand-by to be

deployed whenever necessary.”
